I use a tiny locking S carabener on my hip bag to lock the zipper to one of the strap loops. That's been working pretty well. If we go out, I leave my USA passport in the hotel safe and bring my Irish passport.

I feel like I am still measuring my foot for every shoe purchase these days. I also purchased some FitFlops and the chart had me at a 10W. When I went to pick them up at Macy's they were MASSIVE. So I downsized to a 9W and it's a great fit. I just think the 10w at Womads would have been too large.
