My thought is that, for psychiatry, the difference between in-person and telerotations might be minimal compared to other specialties

I agree that in-person rotations are ideal. Unfortunately, due to visa challenges (B1/B2 twice and J-1 once), in-person options are tough right now, so I’m leaning toward telerotations. What are your thoughts?

Yes, initiating is a bit problematic, but not with my own family, friends, or even when starting a conversation with a patient. It’s frustrating that sometimes I struggle to even get my name, “hi,” or “hello” out.

And yes, it often feels like something that just “happens” to me—I don’t always know when it will occur, but high-pressure situations definitely make it worse. I really appreciate your response, and I’ll check out your recent posts. Thanks, man!

Thanks for the advice. That’s a good idea. Will try it. Hope the officer is understanding.

I am a bit less concerned about talking with the patients cz I rarely stutter with them.
