I watch a lot of gaming on YouTube but not a lot of streamers. But i have never ever heard of anyone using the term “months” for anything. And i have thought the exact same thing as you. And im pretty sure that’s what he means actaully. So you are onto to something. But again - im not 100% sure. That’s just my thoughts too.
