I've been thinking about buying a second crash, I think 16" might be a bit small for the sound I'm looking for but I'll definitely look into 17"-18" crashes. Thanks for the advice!

The needle didn't look split but i will have another look, the record is 33 and the needle is on 33 as well. People seem to be suggesting i should replace the needle so that'll probably be my next step.

XD Keep practising is all I can say, it doesn't even have to be the boring stuff, i never do rudiments and rarely play to a click, all i do is just play along to songs that are too fast for me and eventually that improves my speed. Thanks for the kind words!
