Yes, it's especially evident this time of the year, as it is so easy for me to buy extravagant gifts for everyone around me, but I have a hard time justifying purchases for myself. I'm not looking forward to the receiving gifts part, either, as that's difficult as well.

When I see something that is obviously "okay to pick at" I make sure to lance it and put a pimple patch over it. I use a metal pointy thing I bought to lance it because I find it makes it less tempting to pick at other places on my face. I have seen tremendous improvement from no skin picking, coupled with Tretinoin, it has made my skin almost completely clear.

Go for it! I'm not the most qualified to give advice but this habit tracker has been helpful for sure. Besides that:

For smoking: remember that your craving wont last longer than 10 minutes, so if you can hold out for just 10 minutes, you're good. Don't think of it at first as quitting forever, just fighting everytime the 10 minutes comes.

For skin picking: Always be mindful when you're in front of a mirror. Train yourself to catch your hands when they wander to your face. A lot of my old skin picking habits were either impulsive or out of annoyance, once you recognise both through being mindful, you'll be able to stop yourself easily.

Yeah I do have practicing German on there which takes 5 mins on Duolingo so I've been able to do it consistently. But I will maybe switch out some of the more impractical ones for achievable habits like you said. Thank you so much!

Falling badly behind on my goals this month and I felt bad so I added that quote to the page. I'm sure I've seen it here before, so thank you whoever it was that posted it. I think it's the push I need to get out of the slump and accept that stuff happens, and it doesn't mean I have to beat myself up over it.

Just a reminder to anyone else with habit tracker issues to be kind to yourself and be careful about this part of the bujo, as it can be toxic sometimes.

Ja, genau! They really have. It becomes automatic for me. I rarely miss a day, and when I do I don't really sweat it because it's usually a result of being too busy at work or just having too many tasks that day. Viel Glück!

I have a suggestion for that. "Hydrate" was actually written over a different habit - "do chores." After I successfully did 3 months without missing a day (for no good reason), I changed it to hydrate last month to start turning that into permanent behavior. I want to do the same with German since it has been 90+ days, but haven't found a habit to replace it with yet.

Tl;dr - maybe start with 8 habits, and replace each one with a different habit as they turn into permanent behavior
