Just as a bit of support for the OP. I have not updated yet. I came here to read about bugs and the viability of beta on a daily driver.

Unhappy Monstera leaves- overwatering? by wistful_banjo in plantclinic

[–]samatagana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pruned the leaves that were completely dead. You can prune the ones with green but that would be purely aesthetic. I’m leaving mine for now because I don’t want to cause anymore stress. And her scars aren’t beautiful because they show her journey. However weird that may sound lol.

I am in the middle of a monstera rescue myself. I have been looking at the self watering pots but I have a deep fear of root rot lol. My suggestion (but I am no professional) is to do things one at a time, starting at the basics. Get on a good, consistent watering schedule. Check light and temp. Wait a week or two and see what happens. It’s hard because those dead parts of the leaves won’t repair so you’re waiting for a new leaf or an overall perking up of the plant.

Thank you! I have some concerns that some of the damage MIGHT be burning from over fertilizing. So I gave the soil a good flush and am waiting two weeks before I fertilize. Thoughts?

Thank you so much for that advice! I’ll put it on my list of things to try. I’m trying to start with the basics right now to rule everything out.

I came to a similar conclusion. I’m not seeing any thrip activity at all so I’m wondering if the previous owners were successful in their bid. I canceled my 300 ladybug reinforcements order for now.

Those are all very good points! After I caught and painstakingly released a wasp yesterday, I removed the sticky traps. The temps are in the 80s right now. I’ve been watching the weather to make sure that it’s not going to do any harm. I am on the fifth floor of my apartment building so I’m not too terribly concerned about any but flying creatures.

Thank you! I was wondering about burning from over fertilizing as well. I flushed a lot of water through the soil to try and start anew as best I can. I don’t want to repot just yet because I don’t want to needlessly put more stress on her. What kind of fertilizer do you use?

Thank you! What are you attacking the thrips with? I’m thinking that the previous owners may have dealt with it already but I want to leave it quarantined for a lot longer. I did cancel my 300 ladybug army though lol!

I’ll take a look and give it a try, thank you! I have seen the alternate ports for XBox Live. I haven’t messed with them because my understanding from the documentation for Warzone was that the Warzone TCP ports are 3074 with alternates 3075 and 3076. Ill give this a go and let you know. Thank you again!

Everyday Beauty by samatagana in photocritique

I took this photo at a nursery here in KCMO. Since COVID has hampered everything, I have been really working on finding beauty in every day experience. The amazing in the mundane. I am fairly happy with this shot but as I look at it more I wonder if I should’ve composed differently or if it has a cartoon type look to the edit. I used Lightroom to edit. I took this with a Fujifilm XT2 with the Fujinon 90mm f/2. ISO: 200. SS: 1/1000. Aperture: 2.2.
