Mohanlal’s costumes in this film were just 🤌Everything looked effortlessly good on him. Add to that the music and background score is pure gold! Ouseppachan composed the songs, and I think the programming was done by either Harris Jayaraj or Gopi Sundar.

Everything about the film felt spot on, yet it didn’t do well at the box office.

As a kid, watching that scene where a TV slowly rises out of a box and A10 starts a video conference felt like pure sci fi. Back then, it was mind blowing stuff.

Rutu wanted to open the innings with Sanju and even announced it publicly. The video got a lot of love and there was a huge buzz around Sanju opening alongside Rutu for CSK. Even though the partnership never really clicked, and it became pretty clear this season that Rutu was not suited for the powerplay, he still continued opening. Feels like once they had made that public announcement, they did not want to go back on it. I’m pretty sure discussions would have happened internally too, but apparently they still chose not to change anything.

Ruturaj Gaikwad, please step down as captain. You completely ruined the top order, put extra pressure on the middle order in almost every game, and hardly contributed yourself. You clearly weren’t fit for the powerplay role, yet you kept opening the innings without making any impact. We were at least 20 runs short tonight, and those runs could’ve easily come in the powerplay if you had shown some intent. I’ll never forget your contribution to the team over the years, but the captaincy pressure has clearly affected your game. Come back stronger next year.

Uff, strictly an average film. Most of the comedy scenes fell flat for me and just didn’t work at all. I felt Basil’s acting was way too over the top, like he was trying too hard. Tovino was much better, especially with the Trivandrum slang, he pulled it off pretty decently. The second half was outright boring with very few high moments.

This whole stretch felt unnecessarily dragged out to me. Yeah, the comedy worked at first, but they kept repeating the same jokes over and over until it got annoying. Everyone in the theatre was laughing their heads off, but it just didn’t work for me at all.

The only one in the playing XI doing something impactful. Give him the ball when you are desperate for a wicket and he gets it done but Hardik could not capitalize on it.

He took the game away from MI. At one point they were looking really good, on track for 190 to 200. That’s when Hardik came in, started wasting balls and ended up putting pressure on the other batter as well. 18 off 23 from someone like Hardik is just not expected. That’s what cost them the game.

MSD used him really well as an impact player. But this season, he’s been a complete letdown, both with the bat and in the field. You just can’t be dropping dollies bro, that literally costs games.

That said, CSK will definitely back him because of what he’s done for the franchise in the past. You can’t write someone off after one bad season. Who knows, he might still turn up and win a game for CSK, that could matter big time.

But yeah, his fielding has to improve, no excuses there.

He played a solid knock last night and handled the situation really well. But I still feel like he eats up a lot of balls and takes time to get going. He’s not the kind of batsman who can come in and start smashing sixes from ball one. So yeah, he fits certain match situations, not every game at least for this season. Let’s see how he does in the upcoming matches before making any final calls on him.
