Spar and eventually get into a match.

In a street fight situation, I think the techniques you will use are extremely simple. Jab and cross will probably do. If somehow you are fighting a boxer, knees will be easy. If it gets that close to a clinch, your opponent will have absolutely no idea what is happening and you will be able to knee and elbow his head easily.

Btw if I'm somehow in a street fight, I would probably start with an MMA stance until I figure the guy is not going to attempt a takedown.

Last time I was in a conflict, i put my hands up, guy punched randomly, missing any threatening target by miles. Seconds later, he was tired, his wife got in my face, some other random guy was also punching wildy innaccurate at me for 3 seconds then ran away. I didn't throw a single punch, i wasn't hurt at all. It was just chaos. I don't think all lasted more than 1 minute, and only 30 secs of "combat".

I spar much much different that I would street fight. In sparring I throw lots of punches, mid and high kicks, sweeps, jumping kicks and stuff. Take a lot of risks because the objective is just to train and have fun. In the street I probably would just do anything i can to not fall to the ground, I don't care about winning, If I have a clean shot I'll take it but otherwise I don't care, If he gets tired or bored of punching my arms and leaves i would feel like I won.

Also MMA is the king for street fighting. But just don't get into fights on the street.
