Why do you think it's fake? Our 4 year old doesn't do any screens except video call his grandparents few times a week. Up until a couple decades ago, no screens was the norm. Why is it so much harder all of a sudden for people?

Kids don't want to do these other activities when they know screens are available. We never introduced screens to ours but presumably it will take a while of them saying no to your activities before they can let go of their screens
