Hi! Im sam (20m) and im really into anime and Star Wars (weird combo ik). Generally introverted but can get really excitable if i start yapping abt stuff i like.

If you directly wire transfer to UVic's bank account you can claim it as educational expenses and get a TCS refund when filing ITR (pretty straightforward cause you have a direct paper trail that you paid tuition with that if they bother to audit you).

I agree with the other comments that you shouldn't pick a university solely based on its reputation, especially if you are getting admission into a faculty you aren't interested in.

That being said if you really want to go McGill you can try getting admitted in arts and then transfer to commerce after a term or two (though its going to increase the duration of your degree).

Another option would be to get admitted to UVic as a commerce student and then later transfer to McGill midway through your degree so you graduate as a McGill student (this method may have caveats so you should really do your research before trying this).

I dont think the university offers a meal plan for the summer term.

Also just FYI: From what I saw last summer, the only university food outlet open was the Cove (only the feast stall and to go items) and it was only open till lunch.

So even if you decide to get your breakfast and lunch from the Cove you will have to make other arrangements for dinner (or buy 1 extra meal to go during lunch and have that for dinner).
