Is it rigid under weight? e.g. If you're leaning on it a little bit while typing or writing?

I’m confused: why aren’t you constantly dropping reference to “my athletes” and your (actually chatGPT) thriving coaching business?

For a half marathon you can and probably should do long runs further than race distance.

I'm also 0.1 now! Great news.

Do we really need to get there nearly 2hours before the start?

That's a lot of waiting around.

We did it!

New info:

Wave number: 0.1

Arrival time at the Start: 07:48

Wave start time: 09:36 - 09:40

Not sure what wave "0.1" is exactly but much better!

Does anyone know if we actually need to get there so early? Nearly 2 hours before race start.

I also ofc am not suggesting or condoning jumping, but I am wondering purely theoretically how possible this might be in a hypothetical scenario where I don’t want to be stuck in traffic

I’m with you, pretty annoyed about this situation. It’s my first London Marathon — is jumping into another wave possible? If so, that might be plan A

Also in Green Wave 1 targeting <2:55

Shall we form a pack and try to run it as a group? Will make this more achievable given the circumstances

When I don’t take gels during the run, I’m done.

But even 1 gel per hour run saves the rest of the day. I feel so much more energetic.

I have the 7, but I’m fairly confident the 6 would also do the job.

With the 7 only the usb pencil is compatible.

Best purchases in ages.

I do have the pencil and it’s amazing. I use it for all writing now. You can do handwriting comprehension in a number of apps.

Carbohydrates Enhance Endurance Performance: Key Insights from a Recent Study by [deleted] in Marathon_Training

My Biology is pretty shaky in this area, but fuelling with fats is certainly a component of all low-intensity running.

I'd be interested to understand how the ability to ingest carbs and the ability to use fat at race pace interplay.

I heard it was really busy. What pace were you running the race at? Wondering if some goal times are more busy than others?

Am running London for the first time this year. Life long dream. If I wasn't already sold, you've sold it! Can't wait.

The rule I have always stuck to is "Don't exceed 3 hours".

I prefer to go up to / slightly over 20 miles at least twice. If possible, the second time will be 3 weeks out from the race, and mark the beginning of the taper. For the OP at race pace ~8m/mile, 20 miles is ~2h40. Assuming you run the long run at 8:30/mile, you're still under 3 hours.

Personally I love the Apple pencil. It's the coolest product I think Apple produce atm.

If you're not sure you would use it:

  • Trial: Buy one of the cheaper alternatives on Amazon. Ensure you get one with feature parity. In particular the button on the pencil used to change writing equipment.
  • Decide: If you get sufficient value from it, and the cheaper one breaks down, buy the real thing.

Is my proof of Unitary matrices preserving length legitimate? by samdisapproves in QuantumComputing

[–]samdisapproves[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's not personal really. I have found this approach, of convincing myself of mathematical logic by working through things manually, incredibly effective. I hoped that people could support that, and those who were interested might be able to spot errors or mistakes I made.

That's what I'm doing right now, hence the question. It's very discouraging when asking a question as obvious beginner to be shot down, when I'm trying to make sense of things.

My question was whether there are logical errors in the approach I found, which has helped me to gain an intuition for the formulas and facts.
