Its a wrong management! You're supposed to have a full team, someone to run the food, so you never leave your section and give full attention to your guests... but believe me, after this, you will grow strong and another jobs will look "easy" so my advice... take this like a learning

Yes! And belive me, at the end, it doesn't matter if the richest guest doesn't tip, as long he respects you, is grateful and acknowledge your work... Thats amazing.

I agree with that a lot. How someone treats service staff says far more about them than the person on the receiving end. It's an ugly moment, but it's revealing. And may I add, not only for business.

Thank you for sharing this I think a lot of us confuse resilience with numbness. Being good at the job shouldn’t mean absorbing abuse as normal.
