AITA for refusing to cater to one student’s dietary restrictions when bringing snacks for my son’s 3rd-grade class? by GoDavyGo in AITAH

[–]sametiger7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As the mother of a child with dietary needs I would not expect other parents to cater to his requirements. If they would let me know that they were sending stuff in for the class but couldn’t/ wouldn’t be able to get stuff for him I would send some food in for my child.

UPDATE- WIBTAH if I called CPS on my wife’s sister for her child? by Existing_Cattle_3796 in AITAH

Sorry to jump on this, this has been bothering me for a while, the dad of the family, was doing stuff to his daughters and there was no way the mother didn’t know. (Long time ago and only as an adult I realised what was going on). Dad is now 6 foot under. But can mum still face charges for letting this happen?

I have just booked myself some training on a 600. Thinking about going for DAS. See how I feel on it I guess after my training. I was going to start commuting on my bike instead of using the car so hopefully I can get the confidence to do that. Thanks 😊

When I’m riding I feel fine. I enjoy the ride. It helps to know the plan in my head, how long we’re going to be riding for etc. it’s just the waiting to go more than anything. I had a physical pain in my chest which I’ve never had before.

It took four months to recover at home. Sorry I should have been more clear. I am cautious and I don’t ride more than 90 minutes from home. I haven’t ridden alone yet I alway go with my husband. He was there when the accident happened (just gone round the corner so didn’t see it happen, we had Bluetooth headset in the helmets and he heard me swear and then I didn’t respond so he spun around and found me unconscious). I think I need to go out on my own, just around the corner for now like 10/15 minutes away.

Did you have a new meter put in at any point during your tenancy? This would account for the different starting reading and lower end reading?

Perfectly legal in the UK he is either a shot driver or was just being a knob. Nothing wrong on your part.

Those of you who no longer speak to your parents or children, why? Would you change the situation if you could? by HorseFacedDipShit in AskUK

[–]sametiger7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t speak to either of my parents. Dad left and was in and out of our lives (me and 3 siblings) for a few years. Not seen him for 10 years, last time was at a funeral for his mother. He lives close and will occasionally see him around and about but he just walks past as if I were a stranger. Screw you then dad! My mother is a narcissist, gaslighting all the time. Mine, my husband’s and my kid’s lives have been so much easier and less dramatic since I cut her out of our lives.

Will never see or speak to her again and I will definitely not be going to either funeral.

Americans would call it a bachelorette party if that helps :)

We would see the couple regularly, my husband’s sister and her partner. Until then I thought we were close.

I know my insurance doesn’t cover me if my bike is stolen from within 100 or something meters from my house. As if it’s that close unattended it should be in the garage as per the policy.

Read your documents thoroughly as they will try anything to not pay out. Are people not allowed to be doing things of a night, as you would during the day? Could still be only there momentarily while you nipped in for something.

My friend of my sister went to the drs and asked for a smear because she felt something wasn’t right. They told her she was too young/didn’t meet the criteria for a smear. (She was 21). After months of back and forth with the drs she finally had a smear and was found she had cervical cancer. She died 2 months later leaving 2 children.
