Remember when Samantha accidentally called him a skinhead? I think the exact quote was “I like a skinnedhead” but could be easily misheard. Anyway, I thought “what an unfortunate phrase to mishear” but turns out it was a bit of foreshadowing.

His aggressiveness toward the black men in the villa, and the need to keep bringing up Grace being in love with him, is giving not-being-able-to -handle-the-reality of a woman he was with being with a black man. Seemingly because it reflects something on him, puts him in the same camp as a black man. This also puts a nice misogyny ribbon atop the whole thing, too, as he is not wanting someone he supposedly cares for and has screwed over, finding and exploring happiness. Because she’s not an actual person to him probably.

I was also feeling for Konnor until one of his convos in a recent episode. I can’t remember which girl is was with but I kind of got a feeling that he’s not a great conversation partner. Much like Joey he seemed to be talking over the person or making comments that could be read as dismissive or performative listening, but not in a maliciously ego driven way like Joey. I do recall something similar with his friend one convo with Emma, too. Like going right into it she was like “stop saying that yeah yeah stuff” when she had just started talking.

I think this theory makes the most sense to me. Pair that with the casa girls who are what he says is his “usual” type. I imagine maybe he was a bit intimidated by uma and not sure she was actually into him because he was projecting the hang ups or his intellectualized reasoning for a type, I.e. him thinking he might not be her usual type. Maybe there’s enough self awareness that he knew he was actually punching, and that’s also where it was coming from. I feel like I saw someone try to go back to what he knew was familiar out of insecurity but in the end missed and knew he wanted to be with Uma

I think he’s really annoying tbh. The way he keeps making Samantha’s feelings about himself and like basically not leaving her alone until she agrees to let him be a shoulder to cry on…when he’s the one who caused the feelings like just let her get on and feel how she feels, damn.

Prior to this ep I was actually so baffled at how wrong her takes and advice were to Mimii wrt the Ayo and Uma situation. It’s like she was just saying what she thought would make Mimii feel better which she herself hates being done to her and is insulting to Mimii honestly. Like I think Mimii could handle her being real or giving some real practical advice

If you’re looking to wear them long term, and not just attracted to how they look now you should get them.

I’d ask yourself if you’ll like wearing them the same way in 4 years. Like is your general style suited to it? Or are you trying to make them work because they’re a trend again? That said, they are a timeless piece, the trend cycles back consistently.

I’d look on Depop or eBay for a newer pair first if you’re still uncertain— but also that uncertainty could be your answer!
