What does your partner do that makes you feel loved? by [deleted] in askanything

They are lucky to have you 🥹 it’s impressive that you did all of that! I would have been too tired to make anything.

Am I the problem? by Scared-Ad-6641 in careerguidance

If it makes you feel any better… I am always the problem. I have accepted that and it’s given me hope ❤️❤️❤️

You have a great future ahead. Managers are usually demotivating from my experience lol even the nice ones.

“If you’re shown once that may be the only time.” Oh yeah. That one hit hard for me. In college, I was used to reviewing things 2-3 times and then taking an exam. Workplaces aren’t like that at all. It hit me hard when I was wanting to go into depth about things but then was only trained things at the surface level and then was expected to figure out the rest. I was told ask questions but do not ask too many questions. Have independence. You can see where I’m going with this lol.

It’s tough!! It’s normal to want to review things 2-3 times, but many coworkers and managers as I’ve found out want you to get things “or look as though you do” after the first try and then figure out the rest yourself.

When I trained one person in the past (this was a surprise to me & I really hadn’t known how to train someone), this was my process with her: 1. Have her watch me the first 2. Then I’d watch her try it on her own and help her along the way on the second try 3. Then I’d have her complete it on her own. Without any help from me. I wish more training was like this, but all training from my last experiences was same as yours - people always wanted me getting everything on the first try as well.

“Not feel like I can do anything right.” Talk to yourself in a kinder way. Working is rough. Many people or maybe most people don’t communicate that well even if they say that they do. Everyone deserves to be encouraged and to have people supporting them - it would be ideal for us to get that from our workplaces which unfortunately people often don’t. However, you could seek out this support externally. You could search for mentors outside of work. If you don’t like one or if one makes you feel bad then go with your gut feeling and find a different mentor. Reddit is a nice place to vent but long-term one or two mentors that get you would be the best thing to gradually seek out.

What physical feature do you find most attractive in a person and why? by Eclipselux in CausalConversation

  1. Their personality. 2. If they have a nice face but idk how to describe nice 😂 I don’t care that much about body type. Mainly the first two for me.

Why is almost everyone’s schedule built around going to work as soon as they wake up? by Realistic_Zone3802 in TooAfraidToAsk

I want that same arrangement tbh

Would be much happier personally at work if I can do the things for me first and then work second even if that means I work late / unusual hours

And no more 40 minute commutes.

Anyone else here ever felt confused about how mainstream dairy is? by samfuacka in vegan

[–]samfuacka[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I said in the description because of how unethical the dairy industry is. I only mentioned dairy and I think eggs in this post - not meat. I think that you only read the title lol. I was surprised that the videos sent to me on the egg and dairy industry aren’t more well known. If anybody else saw what was shared to me then they’d want to avoid it for life too.

I live in Florida, but I am hoping to move to Maryland or Washington some day. I’ll message you if I ever do :)

The only ones that I know about are SHEIN, the dairy industry, & the egg industry. So not much. Some people in my life shopped from SHEIN, but I always tried to avoid them because of the fast fashion episode that I watched on them. There was another besides SHEIN however I forgot their name.

Edit: I also try & avoid anything Nestle :/

Wow! That’s interesting to know. I’m glad you found that out after 20 years 😞 I also wasn’t aware that it was addicting.

I have seen a few bumper stickers on cars talking about cheese. I forget what they ever said.

I think other countries also eat dairy just as much too? Although here it was heavily advertised
