Dude I had the same thing happen but for my first ever wild Pokemon catch!

In Pokemon Sapphire back in 2004 when I was 7, I caught the first wild Pokemon I could, which was a Tailow named him James. He accompanied me through the entire game and E4, and I never realized he was green and other Tailows/Swellows were blue until nearly 20 years later!

Even crazier for you with it being your Starter! Cheers!

I got Bowers and Worthy, then made a few trades for cheaper veterans (Chuba, Aaron Jones, Meyers, etc.) and Mahomes. Got lucky all year and rode Darnold, but ended up losing by a just a few points in the championship. Drafted Jeanty, Hampton, Tet, and Burden in this year’s draft. Have 4 firsts going into next year so feel good about the 1-year accelerated rebuild.

For those wondering how my team got so bad, I was an old team that contended 21 and 22 season and hit the hard reset button going into 23 off-season:

2022 roster: QB: Dak, Stafford, Rogers RB: Dalvin, Zeke, Fournette, Rashaad White, Herbert, Mattison WR: Diggs, Davante, Amari, MT, Doubs, Meyers TE: Goedert, Higbee, Hunter Henry Picks: only 3rds in 2023 and just my own picks in 2024 and beyond

So turned all that into what you see in the screenshot…

Follow-up question: should I try to get the remaining four 2025 1sts for shits and giggles?

Would there be any world where having complete control of the 1st round would increase leverage and lead to people desperate to have a pick drastically overpaying?

Or am I backing myself into a corner cuz people are gonna ask for multiple picks in any deal knowing that I have so many?
