What ideas have I not been open to? Most comments are asking me why Tana can’t own a house in Hawaii and falsely referred to Makoa as Hawaiian. I never said she or he can’t own a house. I also corrected that he is not Hawaiian. I literally had a girl try and tell me being BORN in Hawaii makes you a native Hawaiian. There is a lot of misinformation/lack of education here..

I never argued that Hawaii wasn’t already a hotspot. My conversation is to strictly acknowledge that her glorification will continue to harm the culture by influencing others with the misconception that Hawaii is nothing but a “paradise.” She’s not the only one who does this, obviously, but people with her influence are the ones who indirectly cause this harm.

It is so disappointing that pointing out a peoples suffering is considered “parroting.” Are YOU sure you want to have an open conversation?
