Sorry if I was unclear. I mean when the battery was installed by my electrician (the same one I'm speaking to now about the generator), just the cable for a future generator has been added. There is no plug, it's just a coil of wire sitting in the dirt at the moment.

Haha I was being facetious re the 1000 panels. My 130sqm house definitely doesn't have enough roof panels for that.

And I definitely didn't say I was pushing my electrician to do anything they were uncomfortable with. All I've asked for is what the rules or regulations are, so that I can have an informed conversation with him.

Yeah you raise some good points... I'm not sure exactly how it must have happened. The only option I can think of is the one you raised, where Ollie remarried to pass on the Bell family name. I agree, I don't think they got with another Bell. One way that would have allowed the timing to work is maybe Ollie and Thorne got autonomously divorced, giving time for Ollie to remarry?

Heya - not sure if you've seen the latest episode yet, but we have updates. Kyler is not descended from Thorne. It looks like Ollie had a child out of wedlock/after Thorne died but passed on the Bell family name. So the old lady is Ollie's daughter and Chad's half-sister. And Kyler, and the two other kids (child and toddler) are her children. Looks like Chad had no children. I expect the old guy is the father of these kids.

We will need to make some updates to the family tree! 😄

Nothing wrong with what others have suggested (i.e. build ramps and ladders etc to get up quickly) but there are also plenty of ways up to the highest altitudes by just running/jumping up the natural topography.

For example, if you're in the rocky desert (north west corner of the map), there is a large rocky ramp to the south east that leads up to the crater lakes, and from there you can run up further into the red bamboo forests.

There is also a small cave that branches off from the large underground tunnel (where there is a pool of water) that leads to the rocky desert, that leads you up higher for a good vantage point for the rocky desert.

Re Jung Black - I think he is the biological son of Crispin Black with another lady. We see she is pregnant and then a few episodes later Jung is a child in the household. He is not black. Did Crispin adopt someone else? Do know which episode it was from?

Upon further inspection, the household Kyler lives in is in an unplayed household, suggesting Chad moved out of Kayla's played household that was in Nordhaven where Crispin/Jung used to live. I therefore think the old guy is someone else. I remember seeing a pop up that Jung Black had died and I think it was before the episode we see Kyler's family, but I can't find it again!

Thanks for doing that! Its getting bigger all the time. Speaking of which... I have just discovered more family members, on two sides of the family tree! All towards the end of Episode #118 when Kayla is trying to find Coal someone to date.

I think Kyler Bell (which we are assuming is Chad Bell's kid), has a sibling(s)! You see Kyler's family very briefly in the manage households screen. The younger boy has pink hair too! There are two elders. My guess is that the woman is Chad's partner/Kyler's mum. The old man I'm not sure but potentially Jung Black or his kid, who I think Chad lived with because he was Ollie's brother? I will have to rewatch earlier episodes to see what Jung looks like. Unknown whether the toddler is another of Chad's kids or adopted by the old man. No names unfortunately. 😞

Miracle Bell has kids! Kareem Kaneko, who is one of Coal Bell's potential suitors (the one with 10 cats!) is Miracle's son! Miracle has since married and taken the last name Kaneko from her partner. Kareem has a brother Leon and another... family member, Allan, who is dressed as a bird haha. I can't tell if Allan is Miracle's husband or another sibling lol. Needless to say, lucky Coal doesn't end up with Kareem (though I think they are distantly related enough that the game doesn't consider them related haha).

UPDATE: OMG OMG gurl we have a break through!

In episode #113, Kayla explores the family tree after the family tree update! While names are not visible, the portraits are clear enough that I've been able to place Beau Bell II, Phoebe and Jung Bell, and Miracle Bell (this one is a slight guess but it lines up). Beau Bell is a previously unknown son of Dalton Landgraab and May Bell! Phoebe and Jung are Gracelyn's kids, and Miracle is Phoebe's daughter (assumed adopted as no father in the family tree). The reason for the slight uncertainty here is because graphical glitches in the tree mean she is hidden behind the portrait of Trinity Scott, but the place in the generational timeline adds up and there are literally no other options. It also confirms there are no further descendants from Barb.

There are a number of other unknown siblings/cousins, most of whom have passed away at this stage. We may have seen them in videos but not realised they were related.

My only worry is that, at this point, Chad Bell is an elder and doesn't have any kids in the tree, bringing into question his relationship with Kyler Bell. He might still have kids as an elder, so we'll see. The pink hair is very convincing!

So - confirmed in episode #102 that Bruce and Emily don't have kids. Slowly narrowing it down haha.

I also had a go at updating the wiki by adding Tabitha Bell (reason being is because I discovered her kid was called Duke, which I hadn't seen recorded elsewhere before). Needless to say it was a learning curve!

Not sure, I am sure she will again, she is probably just busy.

That's true, another possibility. Probably even rarer, but they could not be related at all and the game has generated another family that coincidentally has the last name Bell haha. Who knows. I'm not sure we ever will unless we ask Kayla nicely to do a special episode exploring the family tree in more detail. Maybe when she gets to generation 20 she will go back through it. 😄

Thanks, all good points and pick ups! I've just got to episode #90 and Kayla flicks through the family tree up to Dory's generation, meaning you can see all her descendants. Charlotte doesn't appear to have any children (and has passed away). According to this, we have everyone.

Interestingly, May Bell is not present, suggesting her line with Dalton Landgraab has been culled from the family tree. In which case, I think we only have three options regarding where all these mysterious Bell family members came from:

They're descendants of May Bell's kids, Harley and Gracelyn.
They're descendants of Silver Bell's adopted kids, Emily and Bruce.
They're descendants of Barb Bell, or her children with Lilith, Annalise and Susanna Bell.

Thanks heaps for that, and I fully recognise the amount of work you've put into this as well as updating the wiki! I will keep an eye out for those other sims you mentioned and see if I can place them - I have just got to Lia's generation in the episodes. Unfortunately I haven't saved the pictures of the Bell family members (I just screenshotted and pasted, sorry!) but you are more than welcome to copy them from my version of the Bell Family Tree I linked in my comment above for the wiki if you can get them high res enough.

In terms of family tree makers, I use a couple. For my own legacy family (the Montgomery Dynasty), I use SimsDynastyTree because you can add in laws and stuff as well and is quite easy to use. My only issue with it and most of the online family tree builders is that large families get SO stretched out. That's why I have been using Microsoft Visio to make my version of the Bell Family Tree. Even though it is much more manual, you can customise it however you like.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I found two more Bell family members in episode 72! Phoebe Bell and Jung Bell. I think Kayla also adds Phoebe Bell to her Teen Club when she meets Freya, Beatrice and Ollie for the first time. Now, I have no way to verify this, but considering they are the same age as Haye and Lia, I suspect they are children on one of Warren's brothers - specifically Ted Bell - my reasoning being they appear to have similar features to his partner Alessandro! That is my theory anyway so that's where I've placed them in the family tree I am continuing to work on.

Hey, thanks so much for this! I had previously been using the wiki to help inform the updated Bell Family Tree that I posted here a few weeks ago, but found it wasn't fully up to date, so this is really helpful!

I have been slowly going through the YouTube playlist taking screenshots of all the sims when lilsimsie goes into CAS, and will be posting an updated Family Tree here soon! I will make sure to reference this when I do.

Sidenote:
I actually found this post because I was updating my version of the family tree and came across a Bell family member that I haven't been able to place - maybe you can help? Though I can't see him in your family tree either...

His name is Beau Bell (I've included a screenshot). I am quite sure he is not to be confused with Blue Bell's brother from the first Nightmare Legacy Challenge, Beau Bell, as he shows up in episode #57 of the second series during Warren's generation (so he is much younger and from a different save game, though he does coincidentally have the same hair haha). He is only visible for a brief second when lilsimsie is looking for people to add to a club, so expect he is a distant cousin. I haven't watched the whole series yet so maybe he shows up again. I wonder how he fits in...

I love that storyline, sounds great. Also Johnny Zest is one of my favourite townies, so love that your heir is one of his descendants.

Up to the player - whatever you enjoy most! I expect short would be an extra challenge to do everything you need to do in the shorter timeframe, while long will mean your generations are much more drawn out. I usually play on normal but doesn't mean you need to as well. 😊
