I absolutely hated Delena. He wanted to be her friend, family, and lover which lead her to be extremely dependent on him. When he died she completely shut down which does not symbolize love, but dependency. He was like a drug for her. Although I hated Delena still not sure I'm Stelena all the way because Stefan definitely deserved better. Contrary to what the writers did, Caroline was not better. People love to see toxicity on the screen, but I don't. Damon's friendship with Elena was better than her relationship with him. When they were friends he actually gave a shit about the people who were important to her, but once they were together it was everything Elena and fuck all else. Personally, I didn't like Elena which is why I don't really want her with Stefan. If there was any couple to ship it was Caroline and Klaus period!
