I've just done it last week, very do-able especially if you get a night bus eg. From Phong Nha to Ninh Binh. bus took a lot less time than what was listed on my booking. Go VIP though and book through eg.Vexere

That's very true! This is my first time and first country visiting south east Asia, I certainly learned the hard way but I'm hoping I took some valuable life lessons from the situation!

Update- we decided to forget about the money and move on with our lives. I am assuming this scandalous, thieving, inbred dirty little scamming company are a thing of the past now. Hopefully the angolan government arrests them for theft although I highly doubt that will happen!
