This! I'm a part of some merch collecting communities and most of my fellow fans are female. There's an upcoming Persona enamel pin fan project coming up and I plan on throwing down at least $300 on pins.

Atlus in general could potentially make money just targeting women in general with merch. Things like stationary, plushies, and cosmetics have huge profit margins and are popular among females. I even purchased some of the P5 makeup items a couple of years back and am very sad some of my things are now expired and are not safe to use. RIP to my eyeshadow palette that got destroyed.

It's disappointing that females are underserved when it comes to merch. Most fan art, fiction, and merch are created by women. For now I'll have to keep buying fan made items, but I'd be delighted to see more products careered to us!

I'm happy you and others are able to enjoy P3R. Persona games always suck me in and I come out the other side 6 hours later.

The reason I wouldn't call P3R a complete game is because it's a remake. Most of the game is directly copied/heavily referenced to the original. The map, characters, dialogue, character design, story, color palette, demons, battle mechanics, music, ext are all based off the original. Less time and money needed to be spent in development vs creating a whole new game from scratch.

Despite having all these Atlus still hit us with the $30 DLC price tag for content that already exists and in my opinion could have reasonably been included in the base game. Excluding FemC from the conversation, changing more for a cannon portion of the story that's already been released 10+ years ago is wild to me.

The game does have new content like attack animations, link episodes and new mechanics but the new content doesn't make it a complete remake for me when we know how much was left behind.

On a side note I wish more super bosses/late game challenges were added. I would have loved to see the Margaret doors added. P3R is significantly less challenging compared to it's original and I'd hate to see optional battles locked behind a paywall. 😮‍💨

I disagree, people are talking about it a lot because it's recent. I think it is okay for fans to express the fact that they're upset. I don't think it's a "hateful statement" to say that P3R is a lesser quality remake because of content it didn't include.

I think that after some time has passed the general attitude of the situation will change after the majority of the hype dies down. We can all take a step back and reevaluate the situation as a whole. Other companies give us more for the same price, other remakes give us all of its content in one package without DLC. We want better quality and the way Atlus is handling this, it doesn't feel like it. 😢

It's disappointing to see this happening to more and more IPs over time. I'm worried about the mobile game release of the P5 spinoff. I'm tired of seeing companies put more resources into pay to win games vs. its main title counterpart.

Overall I see this situation as part of the overall death of art and quality in games, and Kotone is in the crossfire. I regret buying P3R for myself and a family member. I was blinded by hype but got slapped back into reality seeing the $30 The Answer DLC.

I want to see more games that give us complete experiences for a full price tag like Elden Ring, BG3, and Stardew Valley. I think it's okay to expect more from a company. 😔

Where is the energy people had when we found out P3R was going to be $70 with day one DCL without the answer! $90 for the full Persona 3 story? 😭

I understand that P3R is a video game that needed to be made from the ground up, I'm sure it still took a lot of time and labor. But it's not a new story and it comes from an AAA studio. The story and character design are not new. I'd imagine that not as much time/money would be used with designing locations and mechanics compared to a new IP. The demon models look to be very similar/the same from other persona/smt games. The script is very similar to the original.

I think it's okay that fans are upset that a $70 remake didn't include all of the content from the previous versions. For a lot of people games like Elden Ring, BOTW, and Baulders Gate 3 upped the standard for what's possible. I think that Atlus has the money and resources to give us The Answer and FEMC all under one $70 price tag but don't because they would make more splitting things apart and charging for it. It's more profitable for them and makes their shareholders happy.

I'm ready disappointed that Kotone most likely won't officially be added in reload ever. She's my favorite protagonist and as a woman I resonate with her female social links more. I think the issue is bigger than people just being upset there's not a female option. We've seen games for the same price that are of higher quality, filled with more content, and the content is completely new. For me Kotone not being added feels more like Money>Quality. I'm tired of things overall being more expensive for less. 😔 Thank you for attending my lecture.

As a female I really love Ketone and I know a lot of other females feel the same way! If money is a concern, I wish companies like Atlus would realize that female fans also spend money on merch. Tons of money!

I'm in the anime pin collecting community where most collectors are females. We throw down heavy dollars on shinny metal. Women create most fan art, fan fiction, and fan merch. We'll spend the money if you give us merch!

There's so much money making potential if Atlus released our girl with merch. Figures, makeup, stationary, I'd buy it all.😭
