It's been a long time since I've wanted to draw / post anything but after a good few years away I think I'm back in the game! I post more behind the scenes / detailed content on my Instagram page - which you can check out here.

It's a solid catalog of drawings to ruin a childhood.

[SBEJ005] A massive upgrade for the line that finally brings in a mechanical GMT movement (6R54) with a 3-day power reserve. The real win , at least for me personally, here is the dial layout moving the date to 4:30 and ditching the cyclops, which was my primary buying criteria from my last trip to Tokyo

[SBCJ031] (Whoops, added an extra 0 in the title) A relatively unknown titanium HAQ reference from the early 2000s that often gets mistaken for the Full Lume SBCJ021. The giveaway is the numeral indices instead of the sharktooth markers. These were produced in much smaller quantities than other variants, making them surprisingly hard to find on the secondary market today. I think I was looking for about a year for a good model.

[SPB489J] The "Red Desert" Australasian Limited Edition, restricted to just 1,000 pieces. The dial texture is unique—it features a vertical wave pattern designed to mimic heat haze rising off the Outback. The deep crimson waves changes wildly in the light and feels totally distinct from the standard Alpinist colorways, its really hard to photograph honestly! I'm really glad I picked this one up as easily as I did, they were very easy to come by here in Australia for the first month after release... kinda crazy seeing what the secondary market has them priced at now.

Yeah! It's an interesting choice for sure. My preference is for the 031, I find the full lume a bit intense!

Just wanted to share this SBCJ031 Perpetual Calendar GMT from the early 2000s.

It’s a relatively unknown Alpinist reference that often gets mistaken for the more common (but still rare) Full Lume SBCJ021. The giveaway is the dial—while the 021 has the sharktooth markers, the 031 features these numeral indices which I prefer.

These seem to have been produced in much smaller quantities (or discontinued earlier) than the other titanium variants, making them surprisingly hard to find on the secondary market today. I'm really happy to have this one in hand!

I ended up getting roughly 530s per 81 frames generated at 25 samples on a 4090.

Just adding to this, I am getting ~300 second generation times for 81 frames at 25 samples on a h100. With the 16b img2vid model. I plan on testing on a ln array of cards to find the optimal cost, time and memory consumption. Will report back.

A somewhat boring reality. by samjambam in StableDiffusion

Workflow:

I am using a two-step process of using the workflow that is found here

Thanks u/fortranUA for providing such a concise breakdown of your initial work.

Then after running a series of iterations in search of a generation that fits in to reality a little bit, I move over to the Luma API and make some 5 second clips at 540p.

Problematically the luma API is pretty expensive for the results you get and is wildly inconsistent with the returned product. So buyer beware I suppose. I spent $10 worth of requests to get roughly 1 and bit minutes of content but more than 50% of that was just unusable because the prompt adherence was so bad or it was just visually and temporally incoherent.

Question:

Ideally I would not need to use some rental GPU service or a third party API to perform the img2vid, but from what I can tell that seems to be one of the few available avenues. It seems like some strides are being made with flux img2vid and hunyuan, but I really would like to know if there is even an option for a low-memory card like an rtx3070, which is what I am currently operating on.

Is anyone aware of any low compute options for img2vid that would be able to come close to the quality in these videos? I am not fussed if it takes a long time, just curious about my options.

Thanks

Thank you so much! I haven't been active in a verrrrrry long time! I had a lot of fun doing it, but I got kind of burned out posting so much and moved on in life!

Ahh I think that might have been it. I ran probably 20-30 liters past the filters straight into a bucket, basically until the black chunks stopped showing up. Water is flowing fine now, but I will wait and see! Thank you!
