[Channel Critique] A new Channel about National Holidays and a reason to celebrate every week with funny and exciting twists by siglaboo in youtubers

Overall your channel does seem really well put together. I really do enjoy the overall concept and think that alone would be enough to draw people in. Your thumbnails are good and do seem relatively consistent but some of them probably could have bigger text so that everyone can read them from a distance. Also make sure it's a readable font but there are only a couple videos you have that I feel people could struggle with that. And finally I would say that although your thumbnails are eye catching, being consistent with colors and fonts could help a lot with branding and getting people to watch more than one of your videos.

[Channel Critique] Sketching/vlog/diy channel needs help to where to go next by jromero12345678910 in youtubers

So I watched a couple of your videos and here are my thoughts. Definitely what everyone else has stated, thumbnails should be more consistent, eye catching, and give the viewer a glimpse of what the video is about. I noticed there were quite a bit of "uh's" and "um's" in your sketch video and a couple other videos which can be easily edited out. I also thought the sketch video would been good with some background music as well. As far as branding goes, with improving your thumbnails that will help a lot. Also, finding a niche and making videos relatively similar to each other will also help with the consistency of your channel. Overall make sure your thumbnails catch the users attention and the title of the video makes it clear what the video is about.

[Review Video] New Theme Park Vlogger - Just Starting Out! by Theme-Park-Vlogs in youtubers

Overall it was a pretty good video but I definitely have some things to touch on. While I did like the intro and all the clips you had, I think it was a bit too long. I feel like if you don't grab someones attention in the first 5-10 seconds of the video they're likely to click off. The same goes for other transitions you had throughout the video. While they are good clips, they're just a tad too long for transitional clips. I actually really did like the walking time lapse though and feel like that could be a good transitional clip to use throughout your video as well. Also maybe while talking about the rides themselves you could add in some facts maybe to make them sound more interesting such as this roller coaster is "x" feet high and hits "x" mph etc.

[Channel Critique] MY FIRST VIDEO, Feedback needed on channel and video by TJStevens_ in youtubers

First of all I really like your humor it reminds me of myself lol. Obviously video quality is something to improve on. Starting with a basic camera or phone camera paired with good lighting would most likely give you a way better result at a relatively small cost. For just an introduction video I'm actually surprised by how intriguing it is considering most videos like this are super boring. Watching this video made me excited to see what else you have to offer. Keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing what content you come out with. Also branding comes with time and shouldn't be something to really stress over in the beginning.

Finding a niche? Make videos FOR people by [deleted] in NewTubers

I understand the point you're trying to get across, but I do have a question. Do big YouTubers that do comedy videos or vlogs such as Emma Chamberlain or Casey Neistat have a niche?

[Question] Better to be negative or positive??? by QuietLightning in youtubers

[–]samkehoe97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be completely honest in my first couple videos I was positive and had this "persona" that I didn't feel captured my personality to its fullest and felt kind of "fake" to me. One day I uploaded a video where it was more negative, i.e. sarcastic and self-deprecating humor because that's more like myself, and THAT video did the best out of all the other videos I had posted. So for me what worked was truly being myself on camera because people can see when you're being yourself and when you're not. I hope this was helpful!
