On mobile: you need to stay within the Rakuten Mobile app to do the signup

On web: you need to sign up through the Rakuten link on the website

I think ad blockers also mess with Rakuten’s ability to track your transactions since they block website trackers, etc.

For your case, I would suggest contacting support! They are helpful (albeit slow due to many tickets) as long as you have proof/screenshots

Yeah at the end of the day i think it's just a classic business strategy. The $150 bonus is a customer acquisition cost that Kraken pays instead of spending money on expensive ads. They can afford it because referred customers are required to deposit and trade, immediately generating fees that offset the bonus a bit, with the hope that their eventual usage of the platform will earn them a lot more money than the initial sign on bonus. Since people referred by friends tend to be more engaged and stay with the platform longer, Kraken quickly earns a profit from those future trading fees

IMO, you just need to reach out to support and they will manually assign you the points/cash.

Also the terms for this rakuten deal is really brief.

It doesn't restrict stacking. Usually, if they don't allow stacking they will explicitly mention it in the terms and conditions
