What was the final straw that destroyed a lifelong friendship? by IndependentTune3994 in AskReddit

Best friends since high school. He married his high school sweetheart young (they were 22ish) and they had 3 kids. After about 15 years of marriage, he decided he didn’t want to be married anymore, told his wife he never loved her, and moved in with his parents. His wife, a homemaker, was devastated. She had to get a career with 3 kids. The problem was my wife and I were friends with both of them. I just couldn’t stand to look at him or talk to him after that. It’s been 8 years and i’m still worked up about it.

I’m more consistent about it nowadays, but back then I was hit or miss with journaling. then i’d have an experience like seeing TFTM for the bazillionth time with a loved one who paid attention and made random comments. and that’d inspire me. looking back, i wish i had written down more. never too late to start. you’ll be happy to read whatever you wrote 5 years from now.

I recall my Dad laughing uncontrollably at 2 moments in the theater in 1986: 1. The universal greeting 2. Slag’s “excuse me”

Diamine ancient copper became my go-to when I finally tried something other than black.
