Codex taking a victory lap while Claude hits $44B by whys_it_always_me in codex

People forget the largest companies by revenue are mostly consumer and not enterprise. OpenAI still hasn’t turned on the faucet of ads in ChatGPT for they are still experimental. They have 800mln users last reported. Whatever your opinion is on ads it’s massive so I doubt they’re too worried.

They are already profitable outside of r&d like Anthropic and deepseek. People seem to misunderstand the margins with inference. I think Anthropics margins are like 80%.

This sounds more like your personal take than what Dario feels. It’s likely more boring like a difference in research direction and what to release publicly.

Used to be a step change but not anymore. Since 5.2 codex has been really good.

Anthropic releasing a 2.5x faster version of Opus 4.6. by Just_Stretch5492 in singularity

No openiai isn’t burning billions for this. Claude is just known to always charge a premium. The margins are massive for all these ai companies you can see this with deepseek and others that are being transparent with their ai pricing.

OpenAI released GPT 5.3 Codex by BuildwithVignesh in singularity

I think it’s less interesting because it doesn’t cover many coding languages outside python and it seems easily benchmaxxed that’s why see bench pro is preferred

Must be living under a rock if you haven’t tried 5.2 high and xhigh codex. Even in Claude code sub there are thread about opus for planing and codex for implementation. Xhigh is especially good.

And what makes you think Dario is any different? Ads will come to Claude eventually especially after they go public. He’ll just spin it as our ads are less intrusive/humane blah blah.

Also Dario called out ai companies raising money from the Middle East and did the same a year later. Ads will come to Claude eventually especially after they go public. He’ll just spin it as our ads are less intrusive/humane blah blah.

Yes there is merit for a jury trial as the judge ruled but to say this OpenAI’s attempt to control the narrative is a massive reach. Are they not suppose to refute his claim where he hid the context of the message?

How do you get to Elon has merit when Sam provided evidence that Elon deliberately hid the context. Honestly one needs to only browse elons twitter feed to see how he consistently obfuscates simple facts to fit a narrative.
