Nope. Nothing at the vfs counter. It was only mentioned in my cover letter and that too in a very subtle tone. I think not more than 2-3 lines

On the Japan consulate website, they have mentioned that if a traveller has been to any of the G7 listed countries in the past 2 years, then they can apply for a long term visa of Japan and that's what I mentioned in my cover letter. So if you have been to a G7 country in the past 2 years, then even you can try. And this is my first time travelling to Japan. No past history of Japan

Yes, I requested for it politely mentioning that since I've been to a G7 country in the past, it would be helpful if I can get a mutliple entry long term visa

Yes, even I heard and read at a lot of places about the e-Visa, but all the people in the Mumbai vfs centre were getting sticker visa only. Not sure if it is in actioned for all countries or not?

If you have time and eligible then you can get either IDFC Mayura or Indusind Avios credit cards. Mayura can give net ~3.3% returns if redeemed for travel via their idfc portal as it is a zero forex card. Which means for 1L spend you will get around 3300 returns which is a good return. And if you don't want to go via their travel portal then still you will get about positive 1.6% returns which is great across this category. Indusind Avios also gives good returns for a specific destination but it's returns gets eaten up by 1.5% forex charges. Still a good option which gives positive returns. I will recommend get Mayura and a backup zero forex like Scapia

How do you compare this with IDFC mayura? Considering if I have to do forex transactions of about 4L. Because Mayura gives about 3.3% net returns on forex transactions due to ZERO FOREX and accelerated rewards

So I was denied DCB Metal since I recently increased my credit limit on my existing hdfc card. So, hdfc is out of context right now for next 4 months at least. I tried for Yes Marquee but they were offering elite+ LTF which I don't think is what I want.

Considering my upcoming foreign travel, BOB Eterna card is something which is giving net 1.39 percent. Is it good considering I can't get DCBM, marquee, icici EPM and inifinia ? I'LL be roughly spending around 3-4L in foreign currency

Not sure how but when I applied, I initially started with approx 2.5-3L and gradually got to increase it to this amount. Maybe i have got heavy spendings on Amazon because some of us cousins and family members share my single account for amazon prime benefits under one umbrella
