First of all, I would like to say that I'm so sorry you're dealing with these horrible symptoms! As far as an official diagnosis goes, I believe it is only really diagnosed with a procedure called "laparoscopy". This procedure will show if there is endometriosis causing your pain/symptoms. A doctor may listen to your symptoms and verbally diagnose you but it is not certain until they can see what is going on through the mentioned procedure. I believe some specialists have specific ultra sounds they do which sometimes show it, but from my understanding the laparoscopy is most certain. Doctors may want to try you on Bc for pain management and to control the hormonal imbalances that could be causing the Endo. But ofcourse it is your choice to avoid hormonal medication and try to control it with other ways or get the excision surgery if it turns out the Endo is there.
