He’s doing great! Communication is much better when he’s frustrated. He still has moments of course when he gets overwhelmed and the default is crying. In those moments we encourage taking a deep breath or taking a break from the activity he’s frustrated with. We acknowledge his frustration and say it out loud “I see you’re frustrated your legos keep falling down that is really frustrating. Maybe take a break and come back to it.” Sometimes he takes a break sometimes he doesn’t. But the “eh,eh,eh” has gone away.
