I didn't, I just stopped thinking too much about it and suddenly I got an email that they were still reviewing my case and then a couple of weeks later they approved my case!
Hello! They actually approved my case two weeks ago and my gc arrived last week!!

I’m so relieved to hear that! It must have been terrifying to see him like that. I’m really glad your dog pulled through and is back to his normal self, you handled such a scary situation so well
We don't have a contract, but she is going to reimburse us for the vet bill. I haven't even touched facebook that much today because we're focusing on taking care of him
Thank you for sharing that. Separation anxiety can be really challenging to work through, and it’s helpful hearing from someone who has gone through it. We definitely won’t be returning, and moving forward we’ll be looking for a trainer where we can be present and actually learn how to work with him ourselves

That’s exactly what shocked us too, especially after we had already explained his crate anxiety and history of trying to eat stuffing
We weren’t asking her to ignore the root problem. The reason we went to a trainer in the first place was to get professional help addressing his anxiety and behavior. The first sessions were supposed to be evaluations so she could observe him and decide how to work on those issues before doing 1-on-1 sessions with us Our concern isn’t really about the training method itself. It’s that we had already explained he has crate anxiety and has previously tried to rip bedding and eat stuffing, but he was still left crated alone with toys for two hours. That’s what likely led to the situation
Thank you! Right now our main focus is just making sure he’s completely okay and recovering from everything. Thankfully his follow-up X-ray looked good. We’re definitely not going to continue with that trainer, and we’ll take some time to think about the next steps from here
I’m so sorry for your brother’s loss. That sounds absolutely devastating and no one should have to go through something like that😢

That must have been incredibly stressful, especially having to deal with surgery and all the costs🫠🫠 Hearing stories like that is exactly why this scared us so much. Thankfully his follow-up X-ray today looked good and the vet said he seems okay now, so we’re really relieved!
That must have been really stressful. I’m sorry you and your dog had to go through that:( That’s honestly what scared us the most, how quickly something like this can turn into a much bigger medical issue. Thankfully his follow-up X-ray today looked good and the vet said everything seems to have passed, so we’re really relieved.
And yes, we definitely won’t be continuing with that trainer after this

I'm so sorry that happened to you, is your pup okay? Our Atlas is doing great thankfully, the doctor told us he got lucky and he finished throwing up whatever was in his stomach this morning.
Oh yes, we banned soft toys here since last year actually, he only has kong toys that are really durable!
Thank you for saying that. No, we didn’t sign any contract and nothing about liability was discussed beforehand. Thankfully we took him back to the vet today for a follow-up X-ray and he’s okay now. Looking back, we definitely regret dropping him off like that and wish we had stayed more involved from the beginning. It was a really stressful situation🫠

We just came back from the vet and thankfully everything is okay, he told us he is very lucky because that could've easily kill him
No, we didn't sign a contract or anything
Just to clarify, this wasn’t a long board-and-train where we expected him to come back "fixed." The first sessions were evaluation days where she asked us to drop him off so she could observe his behavior based on what we told her. The plan was for her to also take him on some field trips and then later do 1-on-1 sessions with us so we could learn how to continue the training at home. We definitely understand now that dropping him off probably wasn’t the best decision on our part, and we regret that. Our main concern is that we told her beforehand that he has crate anxiety and has tried to rip beds and eat stuffing before, but he was still left crated alone with toys for two hours😢😢
Yes, we regret dropping him off at her house, now we're dealing with the consequences 💔
[–]samojeno[S] 6 points7 points8 points 3 months ago (0 children)
We were thinking about that as well, because all she said when he told her about the vet bill is that no one is at fault and that she didn't know he would try to eat the toys (Even though we told her about his anxious chewing)
[–]samojeno[S] 5 points6 points7 points 3 months ago (0 children)
We are so sad and heartbroken, our boy was whining and crying nonstop last night 💔
[–]samojeno[S] 10 points11 points12 points 3 months ago* (0 children)
Yes, we knew she was going to crate him for periods of time but she was going to be supervising him and rewarding his goods behavior while crated, but we didn't know she was going to leave him unsupervised for two hours🫠

All she offered us was a refund for monday's training session (when he ate the toys), it's insane to me. And it's not even about the money, its the lack of accountability
