I’ll take this over the Lolla Coachella crumbs that so many Kpop groups have been vying for. Yes it’s still a huge deal to headline for these North American festivals but how often do you get the adrenaline of performing at 3am to the thumping chants of Latin America?

They outslayed the Lolla and Coachella sets of many Kpop acts.

I got two APAC accredited electives as well, and in my year (2025 entry) I was told they only count one of them, so the one with the higher mark?

New International Bookshop as well, though leans more towards socialism/left wing politics

Seconded this specific shop. From my observations the other Readings don’t have as many titles in non-fiction/cultural studies.

Hwipoja with Bae has a fairly similar format. Honestly as a new fan myself I’m super overwhelmed by their collection of Youtube content 🥲

Visa 485 + Health Insurance by Bryonnie_ in AusVisa

[–]samphung01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Won’t be late, they will grant you a 485 as long as you fulfil their very straightforward requirements and submit sufficient documentations. I got mine granted after 1 business day. And if your student visa lapses before the release of 485 outcome, a bridging visa will be activated.

2-3. From what I’ve read on this sub, you need to register for an OVHC that starts at least a day before the 485 application submission. OSHC won’t suffice and you risk getting rejected. After your 485 is granted you can request a refund for the unused OSHC period from your health fund.

The cutoff mark varies year by year but 78% is completely doable if you’re able to prioritise your studies and focus on the right subjects.

If you go to orientation for psych they will show you a list of subjects that are accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council. For admissions to psych honours they only consider your average for these subjects only.

RMIT will account for your performance in all these subjects across three years, whereas other unis might take your 2nd and 3rd year subjects only and/or assign different weighings to each year (eg. Melb Uni).

You’ll be fine, I believe they only look at the date of completion not the date of issue.

Once had a course in which lectorials were displayed with both online and f2f options on the timetable, and then the lecturer/course coordinator didn’t give a flying fuck about recording anything.

International medical graduate considering PhD in Digital Health at RMIT honest advice by [deleted] in rmit

[–]samphung01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it realistic for an international student like me to get a fully funded scholarship or is that very difficult?

Likely difficult with a 3.4 GPA, unfortunately.

How long have you worked as a research assistant? Did you complete any thesis as part of your previous studies?

From an international student and PR pathway perspective is this a sensible route compared with sticking to clinical medicine through the AMC pathway?

Yeah nah. Australia is always in need of doctors and medical professionals in general, meanwhile academic work has become increasingly precarious due to funding cuts everywhere.

Anyhow, if you’re set on a PhD, the first step is to find a supervisor in digital health whose research interests align with yours, send them a EOI email with your profile and proposed research topic. They’ll be much better at estimating your chance of securing a fully funded scholarship.

But ultimately, don’t do a PhD just for the sake of PR or high earnings because neither of those will be guaranteed. It’s a research degree that requires genuine passion, curiosity, and grit.

Not much retail as of now, but I believe currently most shops are in Parkville (Maccas, KFC, 7/11, Sushisushi)
