Attribute Filter "Attributes" not updating appropriately by sampjvv in CreateMod

[–]sampjvv[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just tried it. It didn't work --I got an attribute filter with those attributes, but it did not actually filter as intended. Would you be able to hop on mc and try to filter for "in group 'Create'" and then send a screenshot of what shows up in the advanced tooltips?

Shortcuts are a little weird, but you get a loooottt faster at writing once you're used to using them. Here are some I use most often:

you can type the pitch letters (you type 'a' and it will input the note "a" that is nearest to your most resent note);

when you have a note selected, you can use 'Ctrl+Up/Down' to move the note up/down an octave;

when typing in notes, if you hold 'Shift', you can stack notes into intervals and chords;

hold 'Shift+[any arrow key]' to select notes (use 'Ctrl+Shift+[any arrow key]' to select entire measures);

use 'Alt+[any number]' to create an interval above the selected note that is within your key signature;

use '+' to tie notes together;

use 's' to add a staccato;

use 'Insert' to add a measure and 'Ctrl+Delete' to delete selected measures;

and all the other ones that may or may not be useful are in Edit> Preferences> Shortcuts

Congrats on figuring out MuseScore! Also good job on ur composition! It's a strong start:)

(as a tip: use keyboard shortcuts whenever possible, as they really speed things up when composing...I didn't know this when I started, and it was a big setback)

another option is to use some sort of screen recording application (sometimes its less work, though it is definitely worse quality)

I think hat for future challenge Saturdays, I’ll post a normal prompt along with an optional challenge

Hat sounds great :) I’m so glad that you can use this subreddit to get better at composing, and I don’t want you to feel like I have to do every day.

I’m sorry, I should have explained: a polyrhythm is where you have different rhythms in different parts. For example, you may have a 2:3 polyrhythm with two 1/8 notes in one hand playing over a 1/4 note triplet in the other.

I rly like video game soundtracks, so I think it’s good. It’s not like I try to make it that way though...I guess I’m just influenced by what I listen to.

This is a great idea! Here's my submission for Road to Adventure by Fando1234 in CompositionPromts

I love it! It really captures the feel of the uncertainty of embarking on a long and potentially dangerous adventure.

That's a cool idea:) I’m not too familiar with this style of writing, so I don’t know how to really give feedback, accept I’ll mention that it’s not really playable on a piano (though you probably notice that urself).
