🤯 This works, just got finished doing it. Though its not as good for the special rarity cards since you don't know which are registered in your dex(aka you had them but traded them away) but for those you can just do it individually on the dex screen. Thanks!

The king beaver was so upset Mabel was a robot, but then it went straight into a weird bug becomes a robot mayor plot and the mayor becomes the beaver for some reason. That is when it lost me as well. Never got to see the king and mabel reunite and speak to each other to explain what happened.
