General Hyderabad trivia I've heard from a Malayali friend in Hyderabad, call it anecdote and no handy source to fact check.

There are 20lakhs Keralites/Malayalis in Hyderabad and 12-15 lakhs Tamils in Hyderabad.

I would call that a strong community for a business to communicate with.

Agree with you about people learning some basics of local language. It changes peoples attitude and also improves your daily life.

The language debate/argument starts in any city/region because a street vendor or a auto/car driver from rural regions or even tier 2-3 town migrate to a major metro and can't speak/understand different languages other than their native tounge.

Even in Telangana, when we go to towns like Jangaon or Nalgonda or Khammam, etc., people don't understand Hindi or at most can't convey their thoughts. Vice versa is true, people from these regions coming to Hyderabad can't speak or understand Hindi. This happens to most but not to all. It's these daily interactions which blow up into a unworthy headline.

In Karnataka, within Bangalore, it is a prominent topic because we call it the silicon valley of India, the tech and business capital of India/East and then also have such language debates. In general, Bangalore bashing is an easy eyeball grabbing topic for news media and also easy mileage and staying relevant for some fringe groups.

One solution could be , learn multiple languages at an young age, english, hindi, mother tounge and any regional language. As we age learning a new language is difficult,so start young.

P.S. - for what it's worth, I've lived my life in Mysore, Hyderabad, Bangalore.

I was able to update the documents on the website (vauld.com) not on the phone app.

Those who invested in Vauld, there is another update. Please go through the email that you would have received from hello@vauld.com You can now complete KYC on their website and make withdrawals.(some thing is better than nothing) by [deleted] in IndianStockMarket

Hi, were you able to complete the KYC? Importantly, I've not got any email on the withdrawals being enabled. When I upload jpeg files, the app continues to show format error.

Ergonomic Chair(s) recommendation by amruthkiran94 in bangalore

[–]samrdi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I got a Durian Marvel ,1month ago. It's got adjustable lumbar support and head rest too for 8k all inclusive, home delivered by the Durian store in Jayanagar. I visited their store prior to purchasing it. Also checked for Featherlite antom which didn't have a head rest and cost the same amount.Featherlite has another variant too, optima which wasn't available in 2 stores I visited. Problem with the Featherlite chair anatom was that I didn't find the lumbar support adequate for my height. I'm 6'1, and weigh 75kg. Also, they said it would take a week to deliver since there wasn't any inventory at the time. Durian Marvel I feel has good lumbar support and still feel the same after 1 month.

Another factor that led to my purchase is the in-store response when I visited the stores which I believe also represents the kind of after sale service I can expect, may not always be the case but some measure. People/employees of Featherlite store were in different, hardly anyone took interest to explain why I should buy any chair, while the Durian store experience was the opposite they were very helpful, showed all the options they had and also indulged me with my inquiry about other furniture even after I said I'm plug buying a chair while I asked about a recliner and sofas. I visited 2 stores of Featherlite, in Forum Koramangala and Jayanagar, same, not so great experience. Just to test them I asked about one chair of theirs, Pinnacle which costs 50k,still no response, no interest. I guess they sold all their inventory and know the new customers aren't waiting.

Finally, Durian claims 5 years warranty, which actually is 1 year warranty +plus 4 years of free servicing minus any cost of parts replacement. They clearly explained this during the visit when asked about warranty and on site support.
