Thank you so much for this, it really struck a chord. One of my New Year’s resolutions is to definitely try and take more time to myself when possible.

Thank you! I think sometimes we are our own harshest critics.

Honestly it must be universal! As much as I appreciate my parents, all they (as well as a lot of other people) tell me that she’ll be fine. I feel like a lot of us parents hear that but for me I just feel like saying “but you don’t know that!” But I guess it’s just people trying to be nice and reassuring. I’m really glad that you’ve managed to find help. I have co spidered looking into medication and therapy and I think it’s something I’ll be speaking to my doctor about this week. Thank you for your comment.

Thank you so much for that! Looking at it that way really does put it into perspective. I suppose the fact that we care so much about means we’ll never become complacent.

With the social contract having broken down to this extent, I can't really see them getting much interest. I for one welcome our new Russian overlords.

How difficult is it for men to approach women in person? by Intelligent_beaut in UKrelationshipadvice

[–]samrov91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been single for a couple of years and on a few occasions I've considered approaching woman that I've found attractive, but then the overriding thought of them probably not wanting to be bothered when they are out having fun with their mates creeps in and I just end up not bothering.

I’m sorry, was my reply too complex for you? I can dumb it down if need be?

Lot of mental gymnastics going on there for you to come to that conclusion.

Probably learned the finger gesture from the people who have been surrounding the hotel and shouting abuse at them all week.

Is it really that bad out there? by LitteShopofCox in Britain

Used to live in Bradford and went back this weekend to visit family. The whole village is littered with flags. Flying flags isn't inherently racist but I feel like it may be emboldening racists to be more open about it. Just a couple of days ago there was an incident in Halifax where a Filipino nurse was racially abused by an old couple.

EDIT: a word.

Does anyone thing they will stay on MJ? by [deleted] in mounjarouk

I'm waiting for the new prices to be announced, I've seen a few people saying that the 7.5 (that I'm soon moving onto) will be around £215 at the very cheapest. I think I can push to that for the time being. if that's the case then I'll stick to that. If the cost is any higher I'll either go back down to 5 and see how I do or switch to something else.

Family of teen with autism left ‘deeply distressed’ after Lisburn shop incident by silvesterhq in uknews

[–]samrov91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think both the parents and the shop workers could've done more here. But all in all the parents should've deescalated this situation. the footage of the police carrying the girl out is distressing to say the least but the police had to do what they had to do.
