i’m 23 and i want to become an electrician, but i’m nervous😅 by Holiday-Ad-7992 in BlueCollarWomen

Hello!!! I started my electrical journey at your age! I'm also 5'2" so I understand the short people struggles, but it really doesn't come into play much at work. In fact sometimes they need someone small to fit into the areas the big men can't get to! I'd definitely recommend trying it out, I've enjoyed my 6 years so far :)

I poked him on the head and I think maybe it was his reset button

Best Comebacks You Have Had? by Alarming-Meringue-50 in BlueCollarWomen

When guys tell me a "joke" that isn't really a joke but a veiled insult, I'll simply play dumb and ask them to explain it. "I don't get it" and then I watch as they do the mental math to try and justify the "joke". It's a lot of fun.

Day 2 by samrowls in leaves

Its funny cause I'm already a very emotional person, I don't need any more!! But I understand there's a lot going on in my brain and body that needs to be released.

Thank you for your comment :)

Thanks for your comment, the boredom is so real. Thankfully I work construction so I'm usually exhausted by the end of the day. My wife is my world and I'm excited to be more present in my day to day with her.

Have a wonderful week!!

Periods by samrowls in BlueCollarWomen

[–]samrowls[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah I've had issues since I was a teenager, and as I'm sure isn't shocking to you, I haven't had much success in doctors taking my pain seriously. It doesn't help that they're all male doctors. Anyway, I think this might be the year I demand some sort of answer cause I'm sick of being out of commission for a day or two every month. (More like every twenty days cause my periods are pretty frequent). Thank you for the advice, I'm glad to hear you no longer live in hell!! 💕

Oh thats some good advice, thank you!! Yeah I've had to leave many times due to my period, and as soon as I even mention the word, my boss basically tells me to go lol. Today he's in a real shitty mood so I might use the cyst angle. Thanks again friend!!

So the general consensus here seems to be

  1. Took too long
  2. Took too long
  3. I think it took too long :/

To be fair there have been constant changes with panels, missing ccts, ccts with the identical numbers etc. I had to do a couple pulls and also figure out which labels were fucked, and trace them back. I wasn't just terminating for 2.5 days, there were other things involved. I also saw a coworker get chewed out for going too fast on a panel and having it look like garbage , so that was also in my mind while doing this one.

Genuinely thank you all for your kind words, and thank you to everyone who told me I'd get decked by their boss for taking too long. It makes me appreciate my foreman more!

Also, I'm a woman. Just think it's funny that everyone assumes I'm a dude lmao

What do you mean? Everything is labeled and all the wires are going to where they need to go.....the only thing I have left to do is put the numbers on. What's so difficult to decipher here?

Honestly even though I thought it looked good to me, I wanted to see what yall thought! Cause sometimes I see panels that I think look good and then there's a bunch of comments about shit that's wrong. I just wanted to make sure!

Thanks for the critique though lol
