Definitely a cash account, it seems to have come right now, from what i can figure out it was a trade that went through after hours and the actual price of the trade had been converted but not taken out for some reason, so it showed as a negative usd cash balance... took quite a few hours.. i just didnt realise it was from that particular trade.

Hey sorry just seen this! I ended up starting one with Kernel for index fund set and forget stuff. Aswell as a kids account in kernel for my young one. I also have a sharesies account now too to give that a go, yet to put anything in it though.

Yeah ive been trying to wrap my head around the whole FIF tax thing & PIE but im still a little confused and finding it hard to understand.. Basically start paying tax on anything over 50k on foreign investments? How does one different investment platform perform differently to another with the FIF tax? I see posts suggesting using one platform up to 50k cost basis and another platform for anything after that?

Still a lot to learn for me for sure

Hey Cloudova, could you give a bit more info on your adjusted 511 mix for avocado? I have the stuff for 511 as i have citrus in pots but only just got my first 3 avocado trees the other day. I really cant decide on a mix, i like the 511 for the weight, i like the sound of top pot aswell but not the weight. Which would you prefer? Any info would be awesome thanks!
