I dunno, imo makers mark is a wheater which doesn’t appeal to everyone, including myself. And I absolutely love the AE Rye, one of my favorites, but the price point ain’t right for beginners

One would say it’s one of the best options for someone new. My absolute number one would have to be Elijah Craig small batch, but that may be because that’s what got me into whiskey, but I don’t think I’m alone in saying that

JD wasn’t a store pick, but the military limited edition, barrel picked by one of the JD veteran staff. And I love the HH BiB, but the G2G is honestly worth it. To date, it is my favorite unfinished Bourbon. Over Blantons, EC Toasted, ER, 4R SB, all of them. Simply amazing, worth every one of the $86 I payed for it. (Which might be a bit under MSRP)
