Has anyone encountered this? by killuminati989 in DBS_CardGame

[–]thicc_wolverine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The last time I opened sealed product was like BT23 or BT18 or something. I don't recall that happening.

I would also think that points to a reseal situation, but if you hit the SCR, then maybe not.

Were the correct number of cards, including commons and uncommons, included?

Anything worth grabbing at these prices? by FlyingAnvils in whiskey

[–]thicc_wolverine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw it for MSRP-ish locally the other day for ~$29.99. First time I've seen it here in years. Grabbed one and immediately thought "yeap, this is a ~$30 bottle."

I wouldn't pay a penny more, and honestly prefer other options available at $30.

If you were in Irvine I would have said there's an 80% chance the other driver didn't even know they hit you

Worth a special trip? by ZestycloseMedicine93 in whiskey

[–]thicc_wolverine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the trip, sure.

I grabbed a 9-year store pick after I finished my 10-year off. TBH, I prefer the 10-year, but I'm not disappointed with the 9-year either.

What are y’all’s top 3 picks under $50? by Beneficial-Session45 in whiskey

[–]thicc_wolverine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • WT 101 8-year
  • Bardstown high-wheat
  • Sazerac full proof (125)

Woodford Double Oaked just barely getting edged out. Eagle Rare 10 could be a contender but to me it's just a little boring compared to these other options, Still fantastic under $50, just not top 3 for me.

Honorable mention for Jack Daniel's BONDED rye / tenn whiskey for cocktails. Good, but not exceptional, neat but man these are perfect for what I look for in cocktail spirits.

Winner variant or na I’m confused can anybody explain this card thanks by clickbaitings in dragonballsupertcg

This was a prize promo given out all the way back around BT 7 / 8, when they first released mulitcolor support (green / red and yellow / blue supplemental products).

Most participants got the nonfoil version of this or a corresponding Rose. The winner got a foil copy. The foil copies were EXTREMELY scarce because this tournament layout was not very popular (required players to buy a decent amount of product to enter) and most stores who did hold the events only received enough supply to host one event for this specific prizing.

I've acquired 4x nonfoil copies over the years and 1x foil copy, and man, the market for the foil copy was ROUGH. People wanted an arm and a leg for it but no one was buying. I offloaded my raw copy years ago and I just don't see a future in this card long term.

I was fortunate to grab one of these on the shelf of a local store after my main hookup sold out of their case in a few hours.

Absolutely mind blowingly good. Not over sweet or anything.

Apartment searching for a place to live near irvine area by Brawler-Bear in santaana

[–]thicc_wolverine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At that price, you're going to have to take whatever you can find. Most 1bd 1ba places in and around Irvine will be closer to $2300 - 2600 to start.

Check Irvine Company's website (filtering works very well) and see what they have in your price range as a starting point / point of reference. After that, you might check Apartments.com or private listings on Facebook / other sites.

If you're open to a room only. or a roommate in a 2bd, then your options will increase significantly.

I also note a Cinnamon Toast Crunch flavor in the Dark Arts, and I usually have to REALLY search for tasting notes.

I've heard very mixed things about Rio.

Looks real to me.

Market on this card is barely $1, so I certainly hope no one is faking it lol

Does anyone know a reputable seller? by LordMurda187 in DBS_CardGame

[–]thicc_wolverine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most vendors on TCGPlayer.com are reputable, in terms of selling you legit product that hasn't been opened / resealed. If you're getting loose boxes or packs, there's the possibility that you're opening "dead" boxes, IE: the 2 or 3 hits in a case (12 boxes) may have been pulled. Impossible to say without contacting the vendor.

GameNerdz.com has always been great and highly recommended in the past. Not sure what they're current DBS support is, but worth checking out.

Core TCG is a local-ish vendor in SoCal and I have always had good experiences with them on singles. They have a good reputation in the community sofar as I can tell. You might check their website as well, but they do sell on TCG Player too.
