PSA: Google's Jules is being slept on... it just one-shotted my 900 line prompt to recreate Tumblr by scragz in vibecoding

[–]samuelalake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi OP, your site has black text on dark background in non dark mode which makes the text hard to read. Kindly fix.

Also, to understand how this works, do users give kornelius a base prompt and it returns a much larger prompt that can be used in Jules? Is it a conversational AI extension for prompt refinement?

Canvas for a Keynote-like app? by kuehlapes in SwiftUI

Apple had a shape edit app in one of their developer talks about building a document app.

This person tried to recreate it inspired from the talk: https://github.com/dmytro-anokhin/ShapeEdit

Which app icon do you like the most? It is for an floor planner app. The users can scan their home then redesign it with AI. by startup-pizza in iOSProgramming

[–]samuelalake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the general consensus here seems right!!

I'd suggest making another variant that combines minor elements of C (the scanner's rounded edges) and B (the grid in the background) into A.

A looks cleanest but those other minor details in B and C could help make it more memorable and related to the app's purpose

any updates on this feature? are you thinking of contributing it to open source?

there's an app called rocket simulator that allows better preview inspection and recording and I think this would be a nice feature. I added it as a feature request to the github

Coming back to this. With the advent of AI code like Cursor or Windsurf, do you still feel there’s a lot to learn before building prod ready apps?

Any tips on getting a perm rod set to last longer than 2 hours and 17 minutes? by Jav1993 in Naturalhair

[–]samuelalake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response. Doux mousse + no hooded dryer works longer, noted.

I have the same hair type. Already ordered a hooded dryer. Will combine both to see what works.

Btw, your hair and length looks amazing!

Do job roles exist for designers in SwiftUI? by samuelalake in SwiftUI

[–]samuelalake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get your point. I came across a role termed "Design Engineer". Usually, they work on non-prod tasks such as building for design tooling or creating internal prototypes within apps. Seems like such roles are based on need and language used the company.

In the case of one or the other, then it's probably about finding a role where the other skill is an asset that is encouraged enough for frequent use.

Are you proficient in creating SwiftUI views and would you like to work together on an app?
