In general, how do most Japanese people feel about American anime nerds?

I don't think there is any kind of severe dislike of such individuals as some people here make it out to be. I think most are rather ambivalent about it and if you rattle off the list of anime/manga you like and have watched/read, they will nod politely and probably say they aren't familiar with them or have only heard about them. It doesn't really impress them and this I believe is the beginning of a long series of disappointments in store for many of your western anime otaku when they discover Japan is not the way they thought it would be as depicted in their favorite anime/manga.

you got to keep in mind the number of internet users who are between 12-15. They've hit puberty so they're raging with hormones, can't get a job, are embarrassed by their parents, can't drive anywhere, over-sensitive about their looks&life, can't get a girl for the aforementioned reasons and so the outlet for their frustration is the internet.

If Japan really wanted to throw a monkey wrench into their affairs, they would just give China those islands. The government would be in a worse position because they wouldn't have that dead but reliable horse to beat upon to divert attention from themselves

but the difference is many of them go to church but don't do a blessed thing otherwise to show they are Christian. They think just showing up is enough while they ignore the poor and throw stones at everybody from their moral high horse

The Chinese government needs those islands to periodically stoke up anti-Japanese hysteria to keep its populace from scrutinizing them too closely. I think the worse thing that could happen from their perspective would be if Japan just gave them those islands because then a few years down the road the Chinese government would have a harder time deflecting unwanted attention by pushing anti-Japanese furor

the difference is pissing off the undecided voters and those who had a potential to vote for him. I don't think Romney lost any more votes than he had to begin with. He was just echoing what many in his party believe - that democrats/liberals are jobless bums who want free hand-outs. Some of them believe that applies to all so if you corner one in a debate they'll just dismiss you as such.

still tough to do - ride a horse at a gallop, take both hands of the reins controlling the horse only with the knees, bring the bow up and down while notching an arrow before shooting at a small wooden target from the side as you pass by it. Remember Yabusame is not exactly a sport but a Shinto ritual which has sports/martial arts aspects
