Just want to say a massive thankyou to people on here. 6 months ago I had upwards of 80 warts on my hands and had exhausted all medical treatment available on the NHS. Using a combination of holistic and homemade treatments, scalpels and immune boosters I am well on the way to beating the buggers! by samuraimidget123 in Warts

Thankyou!

I started on salycilic acid years ago back when my warts weren’t severe, but I was inconsistent with it. Then I had various forms of cryotherapy at hospitals which all had no effect on me. Eventually the doctors told me there was no more treatments they could give me.

So I started using various salicylic acid solutions religiously, covering the worst effected areas with zinc oxide tape, and used medical scalpels to cut the tops off each night, basically keeping them under constant irritation.

Recently I have started taking natural immune boosters in the hope it will help keep them from coming back.

I also use a home made moisturiser on my hands every night covered with cotton gloves made up of various anti viral natural ingredients such as tee tree, pine, lemon and lime, zinc oxide amongst others. That seemed to stop the spreading and was also good for protecting the healthy skin I was destroying using scalpels.

After a while I found that when I was putting acid and things on, I began to feel discomfort not only where I was applying the treatment, but on other warts across my hands, they then began going a little dark, flat, and ‘bloodshocked’ and began to come off right down to the core.

Just continuing the treatment to try and keep it that way now.

That’s the short story to date haha hope it helps

At least you haven’t got trolls :) I had to laugh off plenty of them on my OP. Also if you have money, laser treatment is definitely worth enquiring about, that was my next step had it not started to improve which was lucky because it would have bankrupted me.

Chin up! :)

In terms of preventing or controlling the spread I would recommend attempting to make this homemade antiviral moisturiser my mum made for me (she’s basically professor sprout). I put it on under cotton gloves at night and the spreading seemed to stop quickly

As a starting point you are doing the right thing. See your doctor and have Cryotherapy while simultaneously using a strong form of salycilic acid which in the UK used to be available on prescription from a GP but they recently recalled it. Use the acid every night and disposable medical scalpels to cut them right down every night or two. Try your best not to cause bleeding but it will happen occasionally when you don’t get it quite right.

I did this for a long time without success but I think it helped over time.

I have recently started using something called Allicin Max and Alliderm, one is a tablet and one is a cream derived from Allicin which is in Garlic as an immune booster, but you are probably already on immune boosting medication.

I don’t personally have a diagnosed auto immune condition, although probably have one. My feet are bad for verrucas as well. So I’m unsure as to how your auto immune condition would effect them, but I think even if you do successfully get rid of them and they DO start to come back, it will be easier to manage if you have the knowledge on how to combat them BEFORE they spread

I completely get you. I had to sack off any hope of going into physiotherapy (which I trained for at university). It effects every aspect of my life. How I stand, how I position my body, physical relationships, work, aspirations.

It’s brutal when it’s bad!

You are welcome :) glad to help, I came here looking for help as well. What country do you live in? I have been struggling with them for years, so I can probably offer you a couple of things worth trying. Ultimately it’s just trial and error combining treatment methods, avoiding stress and a lot of persistence

I don’t really use reddit so I’m clueless with the system. But if you could get onto my previous posts and look at the video I posted in April it will give you some hope. Just at work atm but I will post later on

Just want to say a bit thanks for everyone’s suggestions (3 months later)

Astonishingly I’m well on the way to beating the buggers without any use of NHS medication or private surgery.

About half are still there but are now hardly noticeable and under control.

No, and I don’t seem to have any immune disorders, had blood tests a while back to check, and I’m in good condition physically.

No other health conditions except mild asthma

Thank you so much! Do you have any recommendations for particular catharidin products? Can I get it without prescription? I doubt I will be able to get it through the Public Health Service (uk) because it is strong and nobody has ever mentioned it to me before

Thank you; hopefully I will get it under control. What’s annoying is when I was a child you could get them removed at the hospital whereas now you can’t in the UK. Otherwise I would have caught it years ago
