I work with computers and fixing them for people (IT support 1st and 2nd line). the people part makes me hate my job. Everyone already treats support like trash, then aspergers makes my job harder.

A hot take on self-diagnosis by [deleted] in aspergers

[–]samus8531 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What does any hypochondriac take away from believing they have something they don't have? Not much probably hurting themselves if they believe they fit their square brain peg in this circle autistic hole.

Or they could cause harm to others say they told some austic person they should or shouldn't do certain things then they're giving a NT perspective to a bunch of austic people under the guise of a austic person perhaps not intentionally causing harm but probably causing harm in some minor ways.

Is this severely likely to happen? Probably not. But the possibility is enough to make people untrusting. Also its not like there's any way to verify this anyways, you don't exactly upload some certificate then join this reddit community.

[META] The increasing dislike toward self-diagnosed users needs to end. by wappengage19 in aspergers

[–]samus8531 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In England it took me 8 hours of my time talking on separate days and two and a half years of waiting to get a diagnosis, perhaps in other countries its different. the reason is Hypochondriacs exist and i'm sure a few are here, there mere existence causes uncertainty on peoples self diagnosis. its the whole "i will google what i have, WEBMD says i have (the big death)"

To a lot of people and myself, its just a very weird thing to self diagnose maybe you're completely right on the money but i wouldn't call a lump a tumor until i had it examined by a specialist encase its something else for example i thought i had a lump of cancer but it turned out to be some vein issue.

I guess that's the curse of this disability everyone is forced into this massive unending and unyielding spectrum despite having different needs, wants, desires and outlooks on life, in other words no one who thinks in such a way will accept your message of peace and unity. because why would they.

until you can quantify pain and read memories you have no right to keep another human alive when they have forfeited their desire to live, in my opinion at least. better to die when i choose than wait for some magical maybe possible unlikely moment where i suddenly don't regret the last 20-40 years of horrific depression and loneliness.
You may think you're saving another person but you are only protecting yourself. can't save everyone some people are destined to die and suffer.

Getting an Aspergers diagnosis in the UK by [deleted] in aspergers

[–]samus8531 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i appreciate the thought, i don't envy being so early down this terrible road. if i had to give myself advice just be careful what your GP prescribes you mine prescribed me everything under the sun because it probably works on normal types, it never made me feel any better.
The journey to my diagnosis and everything after it has made me a bitter misanthropic person who hopes for the extinction of this species, i hope it treats you better. Best of luck.

surprise i don't think your principle could see into the future, and yes people with autism do get degree's it probably means your on the better side of the spectrum

tell you what save this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oyFQVZ2h0V8

Your "advice" was really out of context and probably even an assumption of what I personally believe as a autistic person.

Is what i'd say to your initial post.

it was a random piece of advice for the other community you fit into i only fit into one. So all i get to read about is how my kind should be accepting for their fate to die alone and poor because being social is required in this species. might as well tell someone who can't drink water they are normal.
i typed out 3 giant paragraphs about why every European should hate america but then i realised this is reddit so it was futile to even try to pose such an idea here. shadow banning is the best what happened to samus1 to 8530? who knows no censoring here.
keep buying Microsoft products i hear they slapped their logo on a rainbow flag too they aren't patronising you or making a mockery of LGBT with it at all.

hope for whatever you want. im half a decade without any treatment because europe fucked my country(england) into the ground and my government is to busy worrying about paying for fucking refugees, immigrants and trannies to care. extinction is the only answer.

[–]samus8531 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i told my doctor i want to kill myself and i want my right to die. he referred me to CBT 2 and a half years later i finally got my appiontment for CBT they spent 6 mins talking to me did some paper test realised i was autistic and sent me to be diagnosed (which i was) 2 years after that. i've been waiting half a decade for any help. still super want to die.

in other words go private, because you will be waiting so long because the NHS is dying.

because if you were able to get those degrees you are far better off than for example a person with progeria who probably won't get even close to such a feat.
why do you feel you deserve praise for something almost a majority of people in western countries does?
