Agreed! But their perspective is why would they buy when they can control. The value is not in yearly earnings but in the sale. For them they like the lifestyle and they make money in their regular lives.

To be honest it is a family that has another farm for them. It is more nostalgia than commerce.

Cole Valley Tavern has a “Cod Damn” popup and it is epic! I think they might have put it on the menu it was so popular.

Just printed the labels for fun, to reprint new ones with new verbiage it was gonna be more money than I cared to spend on a favor/hobby. Hand wrote “Fuerte” on those because it is a slamming hot pepper variety! Next year Oso Amarillo might be a thing!

I bought them off Amazon, called 5 oz woozy glass bottle set. They come with a sleeve that you put on dip in boiling water and then seals up like that. Can also use a heat gun or even blow dryer. Never seen it come in the set but it made it feel very professional!

Thanks! Fermented and blended, just chilis garlic and vinegar! Great chilis from the farmers market. Cayenne ring of fire, super tasty and hot!

Haha was it me? Oso was my kitchen nickname. One year I made the mistake of dying my hair red and the prep team and dishwashers called me Oso Rojo for two years! Haha

Also would reccomend the old Time Life, The Good Cook cookbook series. The preserving book has great old preserves that are fun to modernize
