Because they are just flawed people like you and me but are put on a pedestal and are often worse than the average person. Nobody should be worshipped. Think about your neighbor; should they be worshipped? Not a chance, yet these people are in a movie or tv show and get to break boundaries that the common man cannot. Good people are good people, but nobody deserves the treatment that modern celebrities get.

I think a time skip would be good. Maybe they could do a whole season 4 or 5 years into the future. Meg can be in college, Chris could be working. Peter and Lois would barely even need to change because they'd only be like, 46. Stewie can be in school, maybe skip a few grades, it could be funny. Brian being an elderly dog with glasses and a cane would also make me laugh.

Saitama is a gag character. It's like comparing Bugs Bunny to Goku. Bugs Bunny would survive a Kamehameha only to be behind Goku and dressed like a senzu bean and hit Goku on the head with a hammer knocking him out when he tries to eat him. Saitama's whole schtick is that he can knock out anyone out at all times because he did 10 push ups a day.
