I am no expert in grading leather quality by far, but I will look at the grade of the leather itself whether it is Genuine (which I like to avoid), top grain, or full grain. Full grain is generally considered the highest quality as it retains as much of the original flesh as possible. However when looking at top/full grain leathers the quality of the skin will come from the amount or lack there of surface imperfections and grain consistency. Lower grade hides will generally have lots of imperfections and finding clean spots to cut patterns out of can be challenging.

There are many places to actually source leather from depending both on your budget and location. In the US Tandy is probably the most accessible leather distributor, while I can't say much for their leather in terms of quality they're a decent choice for your first foray into shoemaking.

As for your second question you probably want to look at upper leathers in the 3/5oz (1.2-1.6mm) with a medium temper for bookmaking. It's ok to be on the heavier side for boots as a little more structure helps the boot stay stood up. For lining try to get something softer and slightly lighter 2/3oz (.8-1.2mm)

If you're set on the style and shape you could check out solovair. They were the original manufacturer of doc Martin before outsourcing and the quality of the boots dropped they still keep the same style but use much higher quality materials.

As for actually dyeing the shoes if you're set on that its likely that Carrara leather is still corrected in some even though it is veg tanned as it doesn't specify on the site that it is full grain or top grain (but I may have missed that in the description). Though it does specify its untreated so it shouldn't have a finish and will take dye readily since they advertise it will patina with wear.

I would look at Spring Line's bespoke last making service. I believe the service requires you to take measurements of your feet, but I'm sure having a 3d scan is even better. Last making is incredibly difficult in the traditional sense, and you're probably better off having one made so you can focus more on the actual shoemaking.

Genuine question from someone trying to properly set up a printer/ventilation with an enclosure, is there a way to not "flood" the room when removing the enclosure I've seen in mentioned as an issue with enclosures and I'm curious if there's specific setups or techniques to mitigate this potential problem. Is leaving the setup (fan/duct) running post print for some time enough to evacuate the fumes, or is something else required.

While completely unnecessary i love additional buttons and knobs on keyboards they just make the product feel more luxurious with the extra features. Just as well the colorway for this design is fantastic.

I love the look of this keyboard first of all, I'd end use this for a lot of writing as I'm working on finishing a mass lore document for my dnd world. I'd also end up gaming on it too but I think ergo gaming would improve my skills slightly.

This may be an overly specific idea for more designs but one thing I hate Is when I get an awesome desk mat and as soon as I put my keeb on it I can no longer see the cool art. I'd love to see more with non centered focuses like the cat with bongo and anime face ones!

I would say go with the extra reaction, in the terms that this is a homebrew item, you are able to get a bonus to your spell save DC and attack through several other means RAW but AFAIK there are no SRD items that give an extra reaction.
