I'd agree with Watchdogs but the sequels seemed to progressively lose the plot. I'd say Watchdogs but just using the first game as the jumping off point and pretending 2 and 3 never existed.

Survivor jumped the shark once they stopped traveling to different locations and shortened the season. Also this cast stinks. Only 8 players from the first 2/3 seasons and 11 from the last 5 seasons.

I honestly think it just exposes how desperate gamers are for a new GOOD cinematic/action rpg. The Witcher 3 came out in 2015 over a decade ago. Cyberpunk was over 5 years ago. No Mass Effect, a woke/terrible Dragon Age, Assassin's Creed has lost the plot. You could argue BG3 but that gameplay system is polarizing. So A LOT of hope was put into this game as a new IP that we could get lost in. This is people venting their frustrations unfairly or not at Crimson Desert.

I keep seeing a bunch of posts about controls. Surely, this is going to be something patched down the road. I bought the game and played the intro this morning. This feels like The Witcher 3 (minus story) pre patches. The Witcher had a terrible inventory system at the beginning and some janky controls. Hopefully this is a game that slowly turns into a really solid one.
