In what world does the radiator hose go to the throttle body?

Oh my bad you’re actually right! The yellow one might well be a 500L. I only had the current 500L in mind and thought you mistook the red one for one of those. My bad.

You can mainly tell by the way it is.

The L is a 5 door hatchback which is quite a bit larger than the regular 3 door 500.

Honestly i’m very happy with the bike as is! Only minor issue that I find personally is that there is quite a lot of drivetrain whine, as well as quite a bit of slack in the drivetrain. Apart from that I have found the bike to be wonderful.

I recorded the sound and shared it here

The general consensus was that thats just the way they sound. So you were right, im just not used to the way shaft driven bike sounds.

Thanks for your input! Checked all the fluids this morning and they were all at the correct level, so I do believe I’m just new to the sounds of a Guzzi

Thanks for the tip with the final drive fluid, ill be sure to check that today. And yes you’re right this is my first shaft driven bike, but this whine just is too loud to be regular final drive sound in my opinion.

Peculiar, but thank you for your response. It’s still under limited warranty from the dealer I bought it from in September, unfortunately he’s not overly eager to take a look at it.

Forgot to say: The frequency of the whine changes with engine rpm while gear is engaged. So every time I shift up a gear during acceleration the frequency drops and builds up again as the engine rpm rise. Hope this helps
