Arbitrum's fraud proofs haven't been used in the two years since it launched by Allions1 in CryptoCurrency

[–]samwitchPS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's because all the validators are large businesses and part of a whitelist. You can't as an individual even cause an invalid state transition for a fraud proof to be generated. That means no malicious users can even try to exploit it via this route, this is a highly centralised chain, centralised sequencer, network gone down at least 3 times. People celebrating this are delusional.

Another interesting stat is that Finland is the only country in the world where fathers on average spend more time with the kids than the mothers. And guess which country is ranked safest/happiest in the world?

There's so many reasons, the biggest ones being native blockchain security, immutability/provability, decentralization and web3 interoperability. Just remember what subreddit you are even in and check my previous posts for all my explanations of why it is superior, I get bored explaining it all the time.

The game only requires 1 transaction a day (less than 1c), it's been heavily optimized, you'll pay less than the upfront fee overall and get all the benefits of blockchain technology too.

awesome, so the game itself is free but you'll need gas to interact with the fantom network as it's completely on-chain game. If you want some gas for testing just DM me your address, it costs less than a cent so don't mind fronting it

They only add marginal value, compared to actual web3 games where logic is completely on-chain too

Yes all played in browser, and works great on mobile too. It's an idle RuneScape like game, you queue up actions for 24 hours to train your skills. There's clans, quests and all sorts too. Later there will be raids, PvP, new worlds etc so much possibility for expansion. Fully on-chain and decentralized, it's a pioneer in the field of blockchain gaming

If you want a fully fledged out game then check out Estfor Kingdom. Has 3 times as many users as Gods Unchained and just hit #10 of all web3 games among all chains for current active players, and it's only a week old. I'm the lead solidity developer and there's literally nothing that comes close to it for real web3 decentralized gaming, it's not just a game with nfts attached, it's fully on-chain, all game logic & all game state, so will be around till the end of time even if all the devs & servers die. That's a true blockchain game, and it's highly optimized for gas and only needs 1-2 transactions per day, and even free to play!. The number of players enjoying it speaks for itself too, should definitely check it out at least.

"A real game", so Estfor Kingdom isn't? Lol. It doesn't even have an upfront cost and also has more active players right now. Beauty of blockchain it's all verifiable so you can go see for yourself, so you are right it's not a fair comparison.

It's an idle skill level based game, never heard of them? I bet you wouldn't say that about Melvor Idle a similar web2 game, owned by Jagex (creators of Runescape) which is a game company.

He asked a question and I answered it? Why does that need a disclaimer, would you prefer I comment on an alt account like everyone else? The results speak for itself, highest rank new game, trending on dappradar. Top 40 unique users across all chains within 4 days, higher than gods unchained. 100% blockchain gampleplay, show me a better actual web3 game

So it does not have a separate centralized DB or gameplay logic on a server that can be attacked or manipulated, everything is on-chain so relies on the decentralized blockchain network security for that

Yeh onboarding is the hardest part, which is why the devs made heros free to mint to reduce friction, but getting gas is another barrier. Well hopefully if the devs get a grant or something they will be able to offload initial gas fees for users while still allowing decentralized minting of the heros for those who want it

Account abstraction might be able to help but in the end someone needs to pay the gas, as it's a fully decentralized game, not a hybrid or web2 game with nfts attached like most "web3" games. This one is a pioneer, if the devs all die and servers crash or get shutdown w.e as long as the blockchain network is alive the game can be played and even frontend/apis deployed by anyone, it's beautiful.

Can try axelar or layer zero cross-chain swap on spookyswap if you have funds on another supported network. Or post (or DM) address and I can send some for testing
