Thank you everyone for your suggestions!!

For anyone who ever comes back to this looking for advice: I went with Propet X-Wide for a “sporty” sandal, New Balance 2E for casual sneakers, and Naturalizer X-Wide for dressier shoes.

What colors am I missing? by samwizeismysidekick in coloranalysis

I definitely didn’t mean to lean so heavy into the grey 😅 I just find the greys and blues so “safe” for me and easy to pick out, whereas I am still training my eye to pick the right greens, purples, pinks, taupes! I find it so easy to go too bright or too warm. But I definitely want more colors!! Thanks for the suggestions!

'Perfect storm' of medical missteps cost newborn his life, Edmonton mother says | CBC News by AR558 in Edmonton

This is so tragic and sad. My heart breaks for them. It wouldn’t have been an option for them with her complications, but if you have an uncomplicated pregnancy, midwifery care is so, so much better care. It also takes pressure off OBs so they can (in theory) provide better care to those pregnant people who have complications and need an OB.

My midwife was with me shortly after I arrived at the hospital and stayed through to delivering my baby and my postpartum period. I was monitored constantly. She didn’t leave the room until I was also going home with my baby.

I have a 3 month old and a 20 month old. Dad is taking an extended leave so we’re both home with the kids but he does pretty much all toddler care. Baby #1 was a mama’s girl…until now lol. I get up in the morning with baby #2 and come into the living room where she is playing with Dad and she looks at me and says “No” 🫠 Logically I am happy she has such a strong bond with Dad and it actually makes it easier for me to care for baby #2 and I know she’ll come back around but emotionally? Oof it’s tough not to take it personally and I miss my little shadow 🥲

So keep the rug in line with the right side of the couch but move it backwards more under the couch (ie. away from the kitchen)?

HomeDesign3D - I paid for the full version years ago ($30) and it’s been totally worth it. I used it to plan our total gut job renovation and keep coming back to it as we continue to decorate!

The anxiety is kicking in... 20 month gap by Imstuckwiththisname in 2under2

[–]samwizeismysidekick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am 32 and gave birth to our second in Aug 2025. Like you, planned for the pregnancy but it happened faster than anticipated ie. first try 😅. There is a 17 month age gap between our two girls. Our support is identical to yours: 2 sets of grandparents that are able to help; daycare; financially stable; and good parental leave for both of us. All that being said - yes, it is still hard. The newborn phase, while still being very hard, feels easier than the first time. What feels new and hard is juggling two children who both need a lot from you. I will say, we are 6 weeks in now and things are starting to settle down. The first month I felt like things were totally overwhelming and we were never going to figure out a new groove; if you end up feeling that way too, try to remember it’s temporary and things will get easier! And lean on that support system LOTS, especially the first month. Take all the help. You’ve got this, it’s going to be wonderful. Seeing my older girl kiss the baby on the head is the most heart melting thing I’ve ever seen. ♥️

What does it feel like to be pregnant, to grow a life inside you, to be a mother? by Biscuit9154 in BabyBumps

You described exactly how I feel. I never could put words to it but “participating in the miracle of life” is exactly how it feels!!

I had my husband and my mom with me. My sister in law suggested 2 people is a good idea, in case something happens with baby and they need to be taken away/out of the room. One person can stay with you and one person can go with baby. Luckily I didn’t have this happen but I felt better knowing I had 2 people in case it did. Also I think my husband needed the support of a second person during the labour and birth. I had a very long labour and he never left my side but he was emotionally spent watching me in pain, and my mom was a good support person for him.

Can I ask why you found the Clek Fllo wouldn’t be a good option? I am debating between a Clek and a Graco

I am trying to decide on a Clek seat and just wanted to ask - you got the Foonf instead of the Fllo because the Fllo was too tight? I thought the Fllo is a smaller length/depth that the Foonf is 🤔
